I moved to my new location about 4 years ago. I like to have at least one nude day a week. At my old location, my next door neighbor saw me naked through my sliding doors in my kitchen. She was planting flowers by our adjoining fence when she saw me. Later that day she knocked on my door to let me know that I could be seen . When I asked , she said that she was not offended , which was a relief. She told me not to worry about it even after I let her know that I am like this at least one day a week.
My new neighbors were not so understanding when they caught a glimpse of me though the side dining room window. I got a knock on the door telling me to close my blinds when Im walking around in the nude . There goes the thought of sunbathing in the nude on my deck . lol
Does anyone have any similiar stories.

This thread shows how every situation is unique. I was luckier than I would have expected in the small conservative town where I live. I had arranged my back yard so it was private on the sides, but the back is open to neighbors behind. I broached the topic one time about me being shirtless and brief shorts, and the guys who lived behind indicated that the didn't care how little I wore if anything. Then my next door neighbor came upon me nude in the patio one day and when I scrambled for cover said that what I do in my yard is my business. He now visits me when I am nude in the house. We have never discussed this with his wife, but I consider myself pretty lucky. I hope it holds out. The house behind has a new owner, who I will approach about a privacy fence. Or, maybe he just won't care either.

TNbinudist: Welcome to True Nudists. For a two week member you have a cool story to tell us already. I would never have asserted myself the way you did, and I congratulate you for setting a logical, reasonable tone with those neighbors. And your profile has some interesting stuff.

This has always been an area where we feel that voyeurs, pervs and exhibitionists give real nudists get a bad name. Real nudists are not exhibitionists and really don't enjoy or get off being 'caught' by the delivery person or the nosy next door neighbor. Real nudists also do not 'force' those that do not appreciate nude living to change their lifestyles to compensate for their lack of sensitivity and not taking some basic precautions to protect their privacy.

As a responsible neighbor one should always make sure that your state of undress is not easily visible from any public or neighboring property. This is easily accomplished with the judicious placement of screening materials such as plants, shutters, awnings, patio covers, shade structures, etc.

Keep in mind that you have the lifestyle that is considered abnormal and, therefore, bear the responsibility to not unnecessarily expose others to it. It is up to you to protect your privacy.

The more we hide and the more we make big efforts to block views we are just propagating the idea we are doing something wrong and feeding societys view that nudism is wrong.

Got new ones on one side which will have to really try to look into the garden so as long as it is warm enough I will be nude in the garden and if they do see me just too bad and what I have seen of them I don't think they will be bothered over it.

All the problems of living a naturist life in town with a nudephobic society. Why not just move out in the boondocks to some isolated place where freedom still reigns. Even here there's too many enemies of the body around when around the house and shop. But at least I can work nude freely out there in the woods and garden out of sight. Soon I think I will kind of move out there and just come back in when I need something from the shop or pick up supplies.

When we bought our last house we had to be nearly 20 miles outside of town before we could find one in our price range. Most were too close to the road and in wide open farm land where any screening had been cut a century or more ago. A five acre plot was no more private than a suburban lot. Then consider the cost of transportation to and from work, shopping, and other services, and it becomes much more economical to live in town and stay nude inside the house.

We live on @ 7 acres. I can work, visit with nudist friends on @ 3 acres in the back and on my front porch. I have a pool, hot tub, 2 decks, clubhouse. My neighbors on the north and south side of the home know I am a skinny dipper. The people across the street and down the block may know. The local deputy sherrif knows. I have been in print media, on tv, and radio for as long as I've lived in SC and when I lived in Okla and NY

Sounds like the set up we want for our next and final home. We dont want a lot of property but enough to be able to enjoy it all nude and not get in trouble. We both have high profile jobs currently with the military, local government and school system. When we move next it is going to be to mid Atlantic east coast and done with all the public hoopla so can be a staunch nudist advocate openly.

I am nude as much as possible inside the house and no one complains. My neighbors know I am a nudist. The lesbian next door neighbor has come in the house when I have been sitting in my recliner naked. I have a folded towel and my computer on my lap. The only complaints I ever get are from the guy who lives on the opposite side of the lesbian. I never wear a shirt outdoors and he always tells me I need one and I always say "You should be happy I am wearing pants!"

Only time I said anything to a neighbor was when an older widower move in next door and mentioned that he liked to keep his patio light on after dark. It was close to our pool and long before we got the privacy fence. I told him I liked to keep my swimsuit off after dark and I the light wouldn't bother me as long as anything he might happen to see because it was on wouldn't bother him. Neither of us has said anything about it since.

New people have moved in next door(single story property) during April and I have just carried on gardening nude, and one Sunday they were making an area tidy for a shed near the low part of the fence and if they looked my way they would have seen me nude doing gardening and if they did nothing has been said. I don't think they will be bothered about my nudity if they know/find out about it and their youngest child will be 18 this month. So I am just carrying on as normal.

Or just talk to the neighbors. They may and there is a good chance they will surprise you. We talked with ours years ago saying we are not shy and they might see more than one normally would. In all cases the response was essentially , okay whatever, doesnt bother us. Im out in the backyard in full view of two story homes a great deal and never any complaints.

Best thing I did was talk to my neighbors I got tired of sneeking around or being nude outdoors when they were not around they did not care and they even wave and say hi when I am in the backyard
