Austin & San Antonio Area Club

I was thinking of trying to start a non-landed and then landed club here in the Texas Panhandle (Lubbock & Amarillo), but I haven't found very many interested people.  I think that would not be true in the Austin and San Antonio area, especially given the growth of those areas and the influx of people from other parts of the country.

Would you support a club in that area, and how would you support it?
