  Lots of first-timers visit Paradise Valley and love it. It's a big place, though. If you prefer a smaller venue, consider Serendipity or one of the other small places in GA.

  If you're looking for good resorts within 250 miles the best are probably going to be here in GA. Have you tried them out and thus looking for something different?

  Cedar Creek In SC is a nice place to start. First time visitors get a free pass for the day.

  Another vote for Cypress Cove in Kissimmee , Florida.
  A very nice place, lots of nice friendly people.
  There in Atlanta you're close to a couple of places, a bit north and east of you, but I can't think of the names right now. They are affiliated with AANR though. There is also Hidden River south of you just above the Florida state line, my wife and I will be going camping there this coming weekend (unless the weather is cruddy). Have never been there yet so can't say what it's really like - but the lady on the phone is friendly. :)

  While Cypress Cove is a very nice resort, since it is considered a premier resort isn't its prices on the higher side?

  To the OP: we are from Boston and still fly down to Cypress Cove every year in October. This year we have two cruises that are leaving from Port Canaveral (September and January) and have added a 2 night stay at the Cove to begin both of those cruises as well (actually both 2 nights before and 2 nights after the January cruise). It is worth the price, although I can't vouch for whether it is considered low cost for the area.

  Travelites Nudist Retreat at 820 Horrell Hill Rd., Hopkins, SC just southeast and adjacent to Columbia at exit 9 off of I-77 and go east 8
  miles. We are not a resort, but a place to get away from the maddening world. We have a 33x18 pool, 7x7 hot tub, clubhouse, flower beds and benchs throughout. Picnic table/benches just outside the clubhouse and the same in our shade garden in front of the main building.
  
  We have a number of volleyballs for the 2 courts, one of which is in the pool. Our chaise lounges have 4" pads, and sun umbrellas have SPF rating from 50 to 100. We do have a clubhouse and plenty of sun and shade. Level spots for tents and RVs.
  
  We recently created a few beds for pollinators. They already seems to be magnets for all varieties of butterflies. One hummingbird spent its time sipping from each purple salvia flower on one of the plants at the pool deck. We have another deck leading up to the main building.
  
  Our well water tastes great and there is no charge for enjoying it. Adult beverages are okay but please...no glass. Sandwiches and beverages are available at a nominal charge. Speaking of which ground fees are $25/day for TNS or AANR members. Non-affiliated is $30. FIRST time nudists do not get charged. Our prices are kind to your wallet.~

  There are overnight accommodations, indoor&out. There were 35 reservations/people for the 2017 Solar Eclipse that has a review in a relatively current TNS magazine. It's been only five years that the Retreat began. Every year, we are adding to it. There are 7-3/4 acres available, some of which have a 7' ft. fence around it. Give us a shout at 803.695-1937. We are 4 hrs. from Atlanta, and if you're in that area, please go to SERENDIPITY rather than other places that might be less than G-rated.

  Not sure of the distance, but Suwannee Valley Resort is about 1 hour SE of Valdosta, Ga. Not real big but very friendly.

  Bell Acres in Maysville GA about an hour north of Atlanta. Rustic and inexpensive.
