I understand that most of the members are from US, but a growing number from Europe and other areas around the world. But the database under the link "Locations" shows US states only. I've sent at least two proposals regarding locations in Sweden and I think a lagre resort like Cap d'Agde in France should be an alternative, at least.
Who is dealing with adding possible locations to the database? Would be great to know the directions and ambitions regarding adding possible locations.
/Andy

ThomasFeb 7, 2009The locations are added by Teamtrue1. I remember seeing a post a while back that with the explosive growth of the site that there was a serious backlog of adding location with the number of profile pics to approve of new members and people being certified. I know there are others that have mentioned the same thing. One important thing to do is provide specific information about a location. When I got a location added, I had website information for it as well as pics I added to the page here.

AndrewOriginal PosterFeb 14, 2009Those of you that are interested in visiting Sweden can find some basic information in a post at the tread "European locations". I've written there about how to find information about Swedish locations, both beaches and camping sites. There are in fact also some resorts.

AndrewOriginal PosterFeb 15, 2009....but still only US locations in the database when you go to "Locations".

AndrewOriginal PosterFeb 25, 2009

....and after three weeks from my first posting at this theme - still no answer or reaction from the site master.
As far as I know it's still a free site and run by one man and he must have great patience, in many forum threads there lie complaints that need rectifying and those that post them think they are the most important. Relax, just about all nude places world wide can be found on the net somewhere so spend some time searching and give our webmaster a break.
I'm fully aware of the situation DonOntario, I have no problem finding the information I need at Internet. I have even in other forum threads told how to find information about Swedish and Scandinavian naturist/nudist beaches and resorts. But there is a site here at True Nudists called "Location", where you can tell your own location and what places you usually visit. That site is for the time being limited to US locations and we are now many members from Europe, Canada, South America and elsewhere that also want to tell about locations, where we live and/or what nudist resorts we visit. That's why I keep reminding.ReactReply - MEMemberFeb 28, 2009
If I can add my 2 cents worth- I would also like to see locations from other areas of the world.
I am in Canada, and would love to see some new areas to visit and hike into. West coast beaches are not limited to Wreck Beach in Vancouver, there is much more out there to explore! Can we get a forum to update our favourite areas?
Cheers

But I agree with Camlite - don't start another forum, wait for development of the site, adding other locations than US.ReactReply - AM
Ask Me and I may tell youMar 4, 2009Hi all, I am going to be in Cancun, MX in May, can not find any nude beaches, only resorts and it seems I have to be a couple to get in. Does anyone out there know where I can find a nude beach in Cancun? I hope so, I didnt see a list for Mexico in the Locations database. Thanks for your time.

I see that this topic has been going on for two years and still nothing else than US locations. I joined this site yesterday thinking that it would be great to discover places to go and I'm in Canada. Maybe this site is dedicated to american people only after all.

webmast68Jul 5, 2010I just want to add my 2 cents. I've only been a member here for a few months, don't post a lot - as most threads are pretty redundant, and have already been answered... - but, in reference to the "Locations" link on the site... I would suggest to TT1 that he/she/they remove the dropdown search by country since no other countries are supported. It's confusing to people to see their country in the search criteria but, then have a notice (that's been there a while...), that the database is currently being updated. Better to wait until the database is completed/updatable before allowing such criteria in the search forms.
Just a thought. Thanks.ReactReply - CA
catbirdJul 5, 2010
Maybe this site is dedicated to american people only after all.
That is far from the truth. We have many people world-wide, including Canadians. People from other nations are welcome. The reason that the Locations section is still American only, has been stated by other posters. There are other priorities. TT1 is already stretched thin.ReactReply - JA
JackNeilsonAug 9, 2010As a Canadian my locations aren't listed either but I find this only a very minor item and do not consider it as being discriminatory given the fact that this is not a commercial package and is administered by one person alone. The many other features of the site more than make up for it and as has been stated many non-American members use and enjoy the site.

PhilfreeeukAug 9, 2010It would seem that TT is right, not to make this a priority. Some time ago I created a "Locations " group. The idea being that anyone wanting to feature a location that was not accommodated in the locations section, could create a group for it and I would link it to the index on the locations group forum. Alas, few have bothered to participate. It seems that these days, everyone wants every thing done for them.LOCATIONS HOME. (((( NEW ! ))))

I think periodic bumping of your Locations Home is also in order as many didn't know about it.ReactReply - PH

JackNeilsonAug 31, 2010The problem of non-American locations in the database can be overcome. Philfreee started a group Locations Home which can be accessed here:http://www.truenudists.com/group/1178/(click on Locations Index) It contains links to non-American sites. Also it can be done by setting up a specific group ie - United Kingdom, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Australia, New Zealand etc listing the sites in sub-headings. Except for daily checking of the the group for new information sent in by members and periodic updating when new sites are listed there is very little maintenance required by the group owner once it is set up. People do not have to join the group in order to use it for information purposes. An example can be seen in the Canadian Locations Index which I set up here:http://www.truenudists.com/group/2245/ Hopefully at some future time TT1 will be able to change the locations on the main page to accept non-American sites but this is just a minor irritation for some and he has a lot more on his plate right now that worrying about this. Please think about setting up your own regional group and posting the link to it on the home page periodically.ReactReply
