Apr 11, 2011Has anyone been to Ship Island lately and do you know the status of the nude area?

jhawkerApr 11, 2011We were there last March and the ferrys had just started running for the season. It unfortunatley was very windy but we still walked far enough east and away from the crowd, which stayed near the concession stand, that I could spend a couple of hours nude. There was no ranger visits and only one beachcomer came near enought to see us. Plan to go back on another trip when it is warmer. So I am guessing that the unofficial nude area is still ok with proper caution.
