Account deletion/Closing account

  On your home page you'll find settings at the bottom left hand corner. Click on it and go the account tab. At that bottom is the option to close/delete your account. Good luck.

  I'm only keeping my account to communicate with some of the men here. If I'm on cam naked I'm on nonshy.com. It's a much more open camping environment.

  Pretty much the same thing here. Since I am a certified lifetime member, I won't delete the account, just scale it way back and probably won't visit it as often

  Nonshy is a good alternative, and I've also gotten friends' contact info. That way I can move on when TN shuts down.

The only reason that I am not deleting the account is that I have invested in a lifetime membership and if this site does get straightened up I don't want to have to re join and pay again, although if it does not get straightened up I suspect this site's days are numbered..

  Did I miss a memo that said that truenudists was shutting down? With a recent update and related problems, it seems to be an ongoing site.

  I just looked at nonshy and have some concerns. All users must be certified there and, though being an open nudist is one of my goals in life, the business environment does not readily accept open nudists. Yes, this is a sad comment on acceptance of clothes freedom but I prefer to preserve business (and some personal) relationships by staying under the nudist-detection radar.

These factors however concern me: 1) 2006 site infrastructure is outdated with no apparent updates; 2) forum and general volume of activity has precipitiously declined and 3) credit card company policies are impacting the host's bottom line spurring as yet undefined actions and changes 4) with an "F" rating in Better Business Bureau, inconsistent policing of pictures and heavy-handed moderation in chat room, there's very little oxygen of good will to draw from.

  But how many of that 14,000 were one time logins that will never be seen again?
  
  Out of 300,000 accounts (not the 550,000 they claim), 62,500 have signed on in the last year. Roughly 20% active accounts. That drops to 7% active in the last month. Not a good sign.

  Actual activity on this site is the telling sign. The blogs are very quiet. The forum has few posters left. The chat room is ...well.........we all know what the chat room has become. What are all of these alleged sign ins doing here? I certainly can create a simple program that will repeatedly sign in and out over and over again to create thousands of sign ins that create the illusion of popularity that in all honesty does not exist.

  I would prepare for the end of this site. Any prospective new member that looks at what this site has become and the lame excuse as to why probably won't join and if they do will most likely not buy a paid membership. Nobody buying a paid membership dries up the revenue stream and once that happens this site is not long for the world. It might be a good idea to find alternate means of communication in case that happens. Interesting observation though, This does not seem to have affected the sister site.

  ClothesFreeForum had it's time and place in history but many who were active posters on that site left in droves leaving a virtually dead site. The same thing is happening here.

They still seem to be quite active in the groups

  Same here, as well as justnudism and justnaturism (both run by the same woman who pushes commercialism). Despite the flaws here, this is still the best I have found. Chat is better at newbienudes than here, I find, though their user interface is not the best.

  Yes, what a refreshing and positive site is nonshy. I've moved there just recently under the same name. I don't see myself hanging around here for much longer. Fake/closed profiles is just one irritant. The chat room is the worst of any site I've used in the last 25 years since I've had the internet, with all its bullying and moderators on power trips. And the constant sexual denial mantra is tiresome. Nudism out in the real world is nothing like this site represents it as.

  I moved as well. It's amazing how quickly they are growing and obviously 95% come from here yet there is zero drama in their chat room. Funny how this site wants people to believe that drama is common among real nudists. Good to leave that element behind.
