It seems the Certified room is turning into the rom for men to wtch each toher masturbate. At least that was true the last 3 times I have been there that others were there. This time there were 14 poeple in there, and when I said it was not apporpirate, none of them agreed with me, and several let me know I was ruining their good time. I would like to see this site enforce its rules on such behavior, but obvioulsy there are many that disagree. I am not sure that the certified room serves any purpose at the moment except to allow a place for this behavior to go on.

We are all going to have to be vigilant in our efforts to keep the site clean. Like anything else a little work will make it feel like home. We cant get mad and give up or the perverts win.

ANYTIME I see someone masterbating online I flag immediatly.
If enough people flag someone, the moderators will have to respond, and the wankers will have to go else where.
Spoiling thier good time, whaaa! boo hoo! Go wank on some other site, this one is intolerant of sexuality online!

truth be told , chat room is a big disappointment.
exactly as you said but not only in the certified room.
found this problem in both rooms.
beside couple of regulars there who realy behave and you see only their faces , too many happy people there.
i guess just like bugs , they just keep showing up.

Because people just like you, see them, get very upset about it, but don't report them. If we did not have public spirited citizens and  a police force with a zero tolerance policy towards perverts, they would be doing it on every street corner. That is why, every true nudist MUST report EVERY time they see it, and go on reporting, because there are always new ones coming into town. it's not nice, we wish there was a way to stop it, but there's not. So we have to put up with it. Or go to an expensive, highly regulated site. My computer does not like chat, so I'm afraid I can not help you there, would if I could. I am led to believe (from several reliable sources) that there are a considerable number of decent people that use the chat regularly, and that this problem is not as bad as these complaints on the forum might lead us to believe, and that it usually happens in waves, every couple of months or so. The answer is for everyone to do their bit, and not just get upset about it.

Just as a thought...would it do any good to make a thread pinned to the top somewhere here in the forum and post names of those repeatedly flagged for the masturbation?

Probably would, but the site doesn't allow for stickies.
Shouldn't be necessary. It'd be a band-aid over other short comimgs.
    Maybe in time....

Here's what I do.  Take a screen shot when you come across a cam exhibiting inappropriate behavior.  Then send it to abuse@truenudists.com I did that twice so far today.

I would like to know how to take a screen shot ahead of time, so that I can copy and paste to my reason for flagging.  Is it just like when you copy and paste a photo to a posting.  Select all and then copy.

Or, on a pc, just hit the "report abuse" button at the top, right hand side of your chat screen.  That sends a video clip of the offender to site admin.

To answer the question, why 2 out of 5 flagged offenders still remain...the two remaining may not have enough flags or proof against them.  I think TT1 really tries to make sure that the person in question has really broken TOS before removing the profile.  On occasion there has been some "false flagging" or "vindictive flagging".

Am I the only person here that wonders why the cameras are necessary in chat? It seems that the playtime problem would be gone automatically if the cameras were gone. At the very least TT1 should make the chatrooms the feature that people have to pay to use.

On the other hand, nearly all of the apparent complaints seem to center around the cam thing. I suspect the problem is merely a bit more oversight to "control" the less-than-desirables. However, this *is* from one who about never uses live real-time on-line chat at all, ever, anywhere. Still, that it has really no value to me, I'm always interested in solutions. ( and only interested in problems as a path to solutions. It's a hobby )

And every time it comes up I've responded with the following (sure wish I could find a thread so I could just copy and paste it): Having cams in chat allows one to see facial expressions when "chatting" which lends so much more to the conversation.  There is nothing better than typing in something silly and actually seeing that the person you directed it to is genuinely smiling or laughing.  A lot of times people will comment on how I'm always smiling in chat...that's because I am viewing the cam of someone else who is smiling and it becomes infectious. How many times has someone said something here on the forum that was misinterpreted because of the lack of voice inflection and facial expression.  With the use of cams, you add back in the facial expressions. With the cams you get to actually see that you are really talking to the person you think you are, not some person who is hiding behind a picture that may not be them.  From my past experiences in textile chat rooms, before the advent of cams, I can tell you that the "perv" situation exists irregardless of whether you are on cam or not.  Getting rid of the cams won't get rid of the "pervs"...the cams are not the problem, the "pervs" are the problem. There are six simple rules that one agrees to before entering the chat area.  Rule number 5 is to flag or report any one breaking rules 1-4.  It's that simple.  Flag them. Hit the report abuse button and send a video clip.  Don't want some "perv" watching your cam? Then use the block feature. Having been on this site for over a year and regularly using the chat room for a little less than a year I am happy to say that we've outlasted most of the "pervs". As far as charging for the chat room...there are more people on this site who regularly use the chat room than there are who post on the forum.  Would it be fair of them to say every time someone spams the forum or posts inappropriate threads that one should be charged to use the forum? On a side note, was in chat for about an hour again last night.  Had a wonderful time. Chatted to some really nice people. Thomas, it was great seeing you again! You always make me smile. Really miss seeing you more regularly in chat. Rabbit, really missed seeing you at all. Syner, it's been great meeting you.  And thank you for making me feel younger by naming bands that I've actually heard of instead of all those new fangled ones, LOL! Jen

Jen
Jen, very well written and i agree.  I don't use the chat as much because I have been busy as well as having more problems with popups there.  I definately agree with it is good seeing someone's expressions.  Yesterday was a bad day, and seeing you laugh at my silly comments made me feel better.   I admit that I miss some of the misbehaving on cam because I don't watch every one's cams.  I have added supporting flag when someone says something in open chat about behavior being inappropraite.  Thomas

I am a little afraid of where this is going to end up. I do not have a cam, nor do I look at the cams, but having the option to see who I am talking to is pretty cool. I may decide to get one some day mainly because my son has one and I dont. But we CAN NOT let the ones who dont follow the rules push out the ones who do. This is a clean site, our site, and we can not let it become a locked box where we all have to get pass cards just to speak with friends. Flag them, block their cam views, turn them in for abuse of the site but do not let them push us into a decision to eliminate cams or begin charging to use cams. There are going to be perverts here whether we like it or not. Cant change it. We can however jump down their throats whenever they cross the line. Tread lightly here and remember that we will have to deal with our reactions to situations like this. We can make this a site known for zero tolerance of offensive behavior but we are all going to have to work together.

Beside that, you also see if he is who he/she realy is and what their intentions are. But I can say , after couple of intents , just don’t go there anymore. I do suggest this though: Like some other chartrooms, assigning some chat admins who has the option to “kill” a bad user. Seen TT1 in action one night and he did a fair job. Only that one cannot expect him to stay online all the time.

Good answers all! Maybe I should try another suggestion now. How about everyone gently suggesting the appointing of chatroom moderators every time you flag someone for a chatroom rule violation? The only communication we have with TT1 seems to be when we flag people so maybe we can use that time to also make subtle suggestions. It's a thought...
That would send a loud signal that TN allows blatantly sexual behavior, resulting in a gut punch to the site's policy of forbidding it in keeping with a central doctrine of nudism that nudity is not synonymous with sexuality. The perverts who insist on doing it are acting in brazen violation of chatroom rules and of TN's terms of service. They don't merit special treatment or tolerance. They deserve a size-1000 steel-toed boot planted squarely and brusquely on their aft cheeks, propelling them unceremoniously to the street to the sound of the gate slamming behind them. The willy-diddlers have many online options for displaying their shortcomings. True Nudists isn't one of them, and the day it becomes one, I will excise my profile.
So very true, the correct solotion is to flag the abusers and for everyone to do the same.  I have been here for a year and a half, the reason I have been is because it is a nudist site not a sexual one.  There are many that do flag the offenders, just we need more doing it.   In the interest of preventing vendetta flagging, it requires multiple flags for action, so all who observe abuse should flag.

I've not visited the certified room yet, but my computer freezes after a few minutes in the regular one.  That's using a Broadband connection.

I have numerous times seen a cam shot showing the genitals, but not the face; however I quickly switch away from that view.  Could it be that I have not caught the wankers in the act?  BTW, chat room rules call for showing your face, if you use a cam.
