"MUST BE CERTIFIED!" "NO" Absolutely "NO" Private, Or "This user only allows picture/video access to friends," Blank or Empty profiles. Must have at least 2 full frontal nude photos w/ face Must have profile pic. For true nudists who want to meet or share with other true nudists!
I dont have a problem with most of it but because of personal and employment reasons I will not post two full frontal pictures with no restrictions. I exchanged some messages with miev123 quite a while back regarding this and while acknowledging he can establish the rules the way he wants I just pointed out reasons this seems to me to be requiring too much. I didnt get anywhere and now miev123 has apparently blocked me and more recently I can no longer even read the groups that have discussions Im interested in reading. I could be reading too much into this but I feel like miev123 is trying to force people to post pictures that they cant because of personal and or employment issues so that he can collect them. Why else would the requirement be as it is?
Thoughts?

Most people join groups right and left but never say one word or contribute anything to those groups. What is the point of joining a group and then never contribute. It is so much like this forum. The same few people contribute over and over again but the vast majority never say one word. Makes a person wonder just how many real and active nudists are on this site. Certification will of course not change anything because the only way to get to know anyone is for that person to speak - unless the majority of people here want trophy partners who never say one word and spend their lives trying to promote some kind of appearance.

SteveJan 9, 2022There seem to be a few different types. Friend collectors, group joiners, chat fans (I guess; I'm not interested in chat) and a small number contributing with posts or pictures. That's apart from the dormant accounts and the 'fake' ones here to promote a website or two.
I figure that posting is the best way to be involved for me. It would be nice to hear from more of the other members.

EarlDJan 9, 2022
Have the same problem with said moderators and another (Avardo) has created over 20 more that already exist, believing it's only for the photoes. Where do they get the time to moderate unless it's for non-nudist reasons.
You ask a good question. I wont join or frequent the group started by some because of that question.ReactReply - EA
EarlDJan 9, 2022
They could care less if you lose your job, career, spouse, etc. You are being smart to resist being forced to post full frontal nudes in order to join a group. If you do not feel comfortable with the rules of any group, then you just do not become a part of that group (which you have done). Congratulations!
This is an important point to make. When it comes to photos everyone has to make choices that are best for them and not to coerced into someone else's idea of what should be shared. Genuine naturists understand that because naturism is about choosing to live a way of life. Furthermore sharing naked photos doesnt prove anything beyond the ability to share naked photos. Being ina a garage doesnt make you a car. Sharing naked photos doesnt make you a naturist.ReactReply - EA
EarlDJan 9, 2022As tough as it may seem I think staying clear of those kind of groups is best even if the group subject seems to be something of interest. It likely you wouldnt fit in there anyway if you already find the group requirements restrictive or limiting and the moderator not to your liking. It is there prerogative to run their group as they like. I understand that to some of them this is their way of trying to keep out the creeps (and there are many of them).
I pay attention to the profile and likes of group moderators. Some dont even have a profile photo or have completely private accounts. I wont join those groups. Nor will I join groups that are singularly focused on body parts or showing of parts of the body. Thats not what this way of life is about to me. I have found there are often duplicate subject groups with moderators who arent suspect or overly restrictive so I join those instead.

I try to be open and positive in my comments and, even if I am perhaps putting to much weight on posting on a blog (the internet is a strange mix of forever and temporal), I do hope they have some value in the future for those that may come across them. Is that due to comments made under the old rules being culled under the new by a new moderator?ReactReply - MEMemberJan 10, 2022
I agree with your sentiment on rules for group membership but do know that they have some merit. I had spoken to Miev about his reviewing members that were part of his groups. He specifically mentioned that multiple members had gone back after joining and changed many of their photos to 'friends only' or just deleted them all together. He had the distinct impression they were collecting pictures and he used both their pictures and ability to review them as a gauge of 'genuineness' so to speak. I do agree that more forum posts and topic discussion improves both the knowledge and overall usefulness of TN but know getting some folks to contribute is not going to happen. It's the old 90-10 rule...10% of the folks do 90% of the work. TN is no different.

Another is that when someone leave TN, any threads they started disappear and anyone who had posted on one of these threads has theircount go down. FullSunOriginal PosterJan 10, 2022Now I am even more suspect of the motives of miev123 because I did a Google search for miev123 and got several hits from various sites. Im not completely sure, but it appears this username does the same thing on other sites as well. No participation in forums etc but requiring pictures to use his groups.HMMMMM

Tom DJan 10, 2022
I mean... we know that photo harvesting is a rampant thing here. Why be surprised when you see it happening?
That's why I don't post pictures. FullSunOriginal PosterJan 17, 2022Excellent point Andy.. I can see its definitely a balancing act. However, the way I see it, your rules work to keep the photo collectors out, while the rules by miev and a couple others are making sure the members have photos that they can collect. Additionally, you are one that participates, as your rules require, while miev does not participate and blocks those that disagree with his rules or even sends him a question.

Tom DJan 17, 2022
I'm restrictive, to a point. I won't allow people to join my groups with Blank, Private or Minimally filled out profiles. I screen all perspective members for my groups and look over their profiles to see if they are a good fit and if they are here for the right reasons. I don't care if they have their photos set to Friends Only or Private, although, I am suspect that maybe some of them don't follow TN photos guidelines and policies.I look for participation in the forum or groups. If I find that a member is collecting 100's of friends, dozens of groups and never posts replies, responses to topics, I won't let them in. I see that many will have been on TN for over a decade and have almost no participating in group or forum discussions, belong to lots of groups, have many friends, are certified but you know absolutely zero about them or their nudist life. I won't allow them either.
Similar to my criteria for accepting friend requests. If I managed any groups it would be about the same.ReactReply - EA

Dont take it personally. To each his own. Been around this site and naturism long enough to know that everyone has to follow their own path and not everyone has the same intentions and motivations as I do so best to leave them be and pursue a path with those more aligned.ReactReply - EA
EarlDJan 17, 2022There are a few "people" who moderate groups who are suspect and likely collectors. Not surprised given the character of many of the fake folks and so called "nudists" who frequent here.

McdcvsJan 17, 2022Some of us join a group because we are looking for lively conversations on topics we have interest in. Part of the issue here is that of the 1000s of groups, most of them are dead. If you find a topic of interest and the restrictions are to high, you are fee to creat your own with you own or no restrictions. Most become abandon and you either end up in join limbo or no conversation at all.
Lately most of the post have been in the forums.

The forum has the same FEW members posting over and over again. If the forum is any sign of activity in private groups, then most of those groups should be closed if there is no posting activity in a year. So many people here either add friends other or join groups and then never say one word. What is the point of doing this???
This site is almost like the local landfill. The local landfill needs a good clean out and organizing but this will never happen as the endless dumping will continue for an eternity.
Just think what people 100 years from now who view this forum will think of it.

Tom DJan 18, 2022
Group Mods have the ability to delete the group if there is no activity. I have a couple and I'm thinking of doing that. Most of the members are still active on TN but not in that group. I can delete the group; it goes away and so do all their posts are gone as well. I'm hoping that doesn't upset the post counters here! ;D
I think that we are all used to seeing our post counts go down at times. I certainly understand that moderators have a right to delete posts, threads or even groups. What I don't understand is why when someone leaves the site, all their posts and any threads or groups they started disappear.ReactReply - JO
JohnJan 18, 2022I only moderate a few groups that I had a personal interest. I also carefully review respective members. My real disappointment is that none of them actually generate any meaningful posts/discussions. I don't delete a member for inactivity. Not everyone has the time to post tings but may still have a genuine interest in the topic.

Can any person or organization actually be stupid enough to believe membership numbers of any site? All sites 'puff' up their numbers and the information available should be highly suspect to anyone with any common sense. Then again, most people today do not have any common sense hence why the country and the world is in the mess that it is in. Perhaps the best answer is for government to issue ample supplies of LSD to everyone so that the entire country (if not world) can hallucinate themselves to a better world. Reality and common sense certainly do not seem to work anymore.

PaulJan 28, 2022A couple of things:
As you've already mentioned, the owner/moderator can have whatever rules he so desired -- and that's the way it should be.
The images you submit for certification are not posted to your profile for everyone to see. The only people who see them are the people who run the site.ReactReply
