  Viewing? By not singling out certain people, or certain body parts. Look at everyone - young and old, male and female, the same. Look at eyes, and hands, gait, facial expression, adornment. Linger on an image in memory, perhaps, but not in real time. Until you can really do that, you're not ready.

  Compliments? Practice in line at the grocery store: Compliment this old guy on his smile, that heavyset woman on the color of her scarf, this kid on her backpack, that athlete on his strongly developed lower arm. Keep doing it until you are confident you'll get a smile in return, every time. Until you can really do that, you're not ready.

  And if you're not ready, then you will come across as a fetishist, taking the part for the whole, and that will not be a welcome thing.

  Good advice Steve.

  There is a thin line between appreciation and voyeurism. That line is drawn when the "object" of your appreciation become aware she is being "appreciated."

They don't respond to you because there were catcalls, wolfwhistles, men taking pictures, saying crude things, asking inane questions... I think on a busy beach if a woman is there, especially alone or with other women, she will have about 40-60 negative interactions with men. I'm a gay man and even I get dirty looks because I don't really notice my eyes are at boob level because I was looking past her to the man with the good butt. Women are indeed magnificent works of art but if you really love them, you'll consider this. The nude beach is for being nude, not for voyeurism (I get that this is an ideal) and the last thing we want to do is to make these spaces less friendly to women.

  Of course totally agree. And why us guys venture to see them. Also explains whyss married the temptation is so great to explore.
