We have plenty of terms to describe the relationship between two men. Do we really need another?

Bromance is from movies. Like a buddy cop movie without the cops. Two or three guys that really back each other up. I could say I had a bromance with a friend. We have the a couple of the same hobbies, and just out of high school wound up protecting the same issues in our club politics. We were even good side-men when a fight broke out at an event. Two decades later we've helped the other through the loss of both our parents and lived in the same house.
Sure we're not the same in many ways. Short and tall, white and black, shaved and beard. He's boxers and tee to my nude. He's OK with nudity and will change and shower without hiding. Though we've caught eachother "applauding the porn"- Though traveling I've let him -not quietly- finish cranking one out in the dark thinking I was asleep in the other bed- AND though we've even watched puh-lenty of porn together, he always hides his boner. We are both growers.
But though we love eachother like brothers, his chasing the wrong woman while I was gaining health problems put me on the outs. I've got an I-told-you-so he's not open to get yet. I'll still help him if I can. That's bromance.
