Went through a mid priced department store and noticed that all of their men's sleep pants and shorts were marked down 75%, so they are obviously not selling well.
Could the reason be:
More men are sleeping nude?
Now that businesses are getting back to normal, do men who were spending all day in sleep pants at home now having to get dressed in regular clothes?
Some of both?

Tom DOriginal PosterMay 13, 2021I never owned any, but stores and on line retailers have plenty:

I suspect that retailers know the COVID induced home time is coming to a close & with it the high demand for lounging clothes. They may just want to rotate their stock...who knows? Somebody will buy it...just not me.

May 13, 2021Sleep pants? Never heard of them. Ive slept nude since 1971. Have no use for them.

May 13, 2021Been sleeping nude since the mid sixties. When dressed, you don't wear bedding under your clothes, so why would you wear clothing in bed?

Jun 10, 2021"sleep pants" = pajamas?
I like a night shirt (goes down to knees) if I have to have on clothing in the house, but I really love sleeping naked. Feels so very good! And I sleep better. And my genitals feel much better unconstrained. At my middle-age I much appreciate a morning erection which is more frequent and pleasurable without underwear. I do not mean to be lewd or offensive when I say it feels so good to caress myself at that time without the insistent need to ejaculate like when I was younger. Any kind of bed clothing tends to get all twisted up during tossing and turning. So there.ReactReply - TD

Jun 13, 2021What's the point?!? I sleep nude. The first time I slipped out of my underwear, what I used to wear to bed, in 1991 I couldn't believe how much more comfortable I was and how much better I slept. While I was a home nudist from time to time prior to that event, that point in time may be what eventually turned me into a full time home nudist / naturist and eventually, as I gained some confidence overcoming some serious body image issues I still struggle with from time to time, social nudity / naturism.

Jun 13, 2021Ive owned sleep pants in the past. I slept nude, but if we had house guests, I would put them on (commando) and put on a Tee shirt before leaving the bedroom. More because my wife would get pissed at me for being nude in front of her mother (or anyone else) if I didnt put them on. They eventually developed a hole in the crotch that I encouraged to rip a little more, and more than once, my cock and balls would hang out of that hole when I put them on for her mothers visits. I would also wear them to take Tracy out to the bin outside, as my neighborhood frowns upon nudity on the street side of the privacy fence

Jun 13, 2021I have owned two pairs of sleep pants (AKA pyjama bottoms) for the last thirty years and never worn either of them.

That way, it is something I need for other reasons. Rarely wear a shirt. I started with 8 inch inseam, then 5, now 3. I have seen some men post that they go as minimal as 1 or 2 inches with split sides, but I am not going there.ReactReply - MEMemberMay 13, 2025
My old man would sleep nude. When I learned that he did I too began sleeping nude. Even when we had too share a bed I would be nude but he would leave on his bikini brief underwear. One time we ended both sleeping naked in the same bed because he forgot to pack underwear. I was going commando at this point in my life and so we accepted the fact that we were going to be naked in bed at a hotel. It didn't bother us any.

May 23, 2025I mostly wear sleep pants and/or gym shorts in the morning when I leave the bed. The warmth of the bed wears off pretty fast in my house, so staying nude is not always easy most months of the year.
I have found that on nights when I can't fall asleep, if I pull on a pair of sleep pants or sweat pants, that I will doze off quite easily. I don't know exactly why that is, but it works. I don't think I have restless leg syndrome, but for some reason, having my legs covered makes my body relax. Most nights, though, I sleep with nothing on.

May 23, 2025I own some of those but I dont wear them for sleeping. I've been sleeping naked since I was a teen in 1971. I even have a pair of drawstring pajama bottoms I've had since I was in high school. That's how seldom I wear them. Those "sleep" pants are comfortable.to just pull on if I have to answer the door or somebody shows up unexpectedly. Other than that I go nude. I wear shorts outside to do yard work.

That may explain your reaction to the sleep pants. I much prefer sleeping nude too but when I dont feel well sometimes the socks stay on.ReactReply - OA
Aug 1, 2025I'll wear FTLs to bed if I went out for drinks and the gals, as usual tease all night wanting free drinks. Get home and unpack th meet I feel a wet dream coming on and I'll save my bedding with a pair of FTLs- why soak the bedding- it's easier to wash a pair of briefs than the bedding! LOL!!!! (My mid-40's GP is envious! LOL!!!!)
