Last year I had a friend that exposed me to nudism and I enjoyed the freedom, the self expression, the liberation. It was something we shared that connected us. Ok,so he was a guy I dated for 14 months... Anyways, that ended earlier this year, and with the weather getting nicer, I wanted to experience that again. I found this site and logged on, and to my surprise he was a member here as well! I joined the local groups in my area, hoping to meet new friends that could introduce me more into the lifestyle and share new experiences. So far, my former boyfriend has blocked me, and no one in the groups here respond to me. I'm very friendly and outgoing. I make attempts to connect. I have found that if they are also friends of his, then they fall silent. I never mention him to anyone. I would not mind being his friend, but that is up to him. Meanwhile, I am making awesome connections with guys that live 10,000 miles away that are interested in my experiences and sharing theirs. Amazing guys that I would call friends. How do I make friends locally so that i can meet in real life, away from this site, so that I can come back and share my experiences here?? What am I doing wrong? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Step 1. Join AANR and/or TNS.
Step 2. Find your local resort(s) and arrange a visit.
Step 3. Go to said resort and behave yourself.
Repeat Step 3 until you meet people and make friends.

I see that you live in the Seattle area which I believe is a prime location for nudist activities. They have the annual naked bike ride and some celebration for Spring. Check the locations link at the top of the page and look for resorts and clubs in the area. I would forget your old boy friend and anyone else associated with him. There are plenty of other great nudists around and in your case it should be relatively easy to find them. The parade that I mentioned and the bike ride have their own websites but I don't know their addresses. Maybe somebody else can help. Good luck. DesertRat. P.S. When you're naked nobody knows you're gay unless you tell them.
