  I shave nothing but my face.
  Like the natural look and feel and don't want the bother of body shaving.
  Plus, when I was shaved for surgery, I itched where I couldn't scratch (in public) when the hair started to grow back.
  Wouldn't want that annoyance on a regular basis.

  I've never gone with the hairless look but trim to keep the volume down in summer with a #2 or #3 trimmer. Just long enough to not be obvious as the remaining hair overlaps rather than appearing as stubble. Use less sunscreen, too.

  The pubes get plucked to blend in with the body while not being prickly or too thick. I started doing that as the swimsuits shrank enough to risk overflow. I like the happy medium of reasonably 'natural' body hair without looking too wild in a textile environment.

  I was all natural up until my mid 20s, I got self conscious about my back hair of all things. So I started getting my wife to use the hair removal creams on my back. It gave me the smooth back look, but left this ridiculous separation line where my hairless back and fuzzy bum met. It also lead to constant ingrown hairs on my back which hurt. Eventually I just embraced that I am a fuzzy fella and let it grow in. I do scissor trim the pubes back so they don't get too wild and I shave my sac. Otherwise the rest of me is covered in varying amounts of hair in length and density.

  My preferences... I don't shave my face (I do trim my beard say once a week), but I do shave around the genitals... I did it once maybe ten years ago and found I preferred the look and feel, although I never had thick hair there. Maybe that's why the change was not so great... if you have a very thick bush, then the change would be much greater. And of course, the task itself is pleasurable...

  I'm not hairy at all. my brothers are but I think my lack of hair is due to an accident when I was about 7/8 where I was scolded by a pan of boiling water.

  I trim just above my penis, sometimes shave and leave for a while and regularly shave my sac/balls

  My wife and I wax. It last much longer and is much smoother. And it is a huge turn on as the after effects of blood pooling to that area are felt for a few days after. We used to see an esthetician, but purchased a wax warmer and now we are pros and save about $150 per month. Best decision ever.
  I do have a high pain tolerance and a bit of a masochistic proclivity but other than trimming in the front, there is no better option.

  Well said Wildwilly1! I agree with you. When I first shaved, it was strictly sexual because I had seen some bald men and women in porn movies. But then my wife mentioned how much she disliked a man in a movie that had what she called knotty pubic hair. It was a black man that had very tight curly hair! ;-). I got paranoid and began to shave mine regularly because I didn't want to do anything to hinder our companionship. That was about 27 years ago and I've been shaving ever since. I've tried hair removal cream and home waxing kits but neither has worked well for me. I just learned that a place about 30 miles from home will finally wax men. I may try that but in the meantime. I shave about every 3 days. I personally can't stand the fact that my pubes are now black and grey. That makes me feel like an old man! -;).

  I don't really notice hair or lack thereof.
  What I do notice is tanlines.
  I wonder how some people have perfectly even tans everywhere.
  Most people must wear clotihing outdoors sometime. Why aren't there any lines.
  Another thing that puzzles me is men with tanlines at the knees.
  I would think that men who like to be nude would wear shorter shorts and brief swimsuits when they can't be naked.

Why aren't there any lines.[/quote] For me, this year was the closest I have ever come from having an even tan with no tan lines. It took the right conditions and some dedication. I've been working at home full time since the beginning of COVID and now that I have a nice private pool area, I'm sitting outside at lunch time when the sun is most direct every day that I can. Being that I live in South Carolina, that can often be from mid-March through sometime in December. I do have a slight tan line, but it's not very noticeable usually, from when I'm outside doing chores in the yard and need to wear a pair of shorts. I have a bunch of tan-through shorts too, but if you're outside a lot you still get tan lines from them. They are like wearing a light sunscreen.

  To address the original question, I remove all my public hair because I like how it feels, I love the feeling of the smooth skin as well as feeling of having the sun and breeze touching my skin when I'm outside. I also do it for cleanliness and because I like how it looks. I remove it because that is what I like and not because others may be doing it.

I remember one Memorial Day weekend when I was out in the sun a lot andcwearing white t shirts and using SPF 50 on my face and forearms, By the end of the weekend, I had reverse tan lines with my chest, shoulders and back darker than my arms and face!

  Thanks for the suggestion. I have heard that as well, but I haven't used sunscreen in many years. I don't like putting all those chemicals on my skin. Your skin is your largest organ and anything you put on it gets absorbed at some level. Not trusting my health to a bunch of chemists in a lab. I am just careful with how much exposure I get to the sun. I know my limit and when I've had enough I seek out shade or cover up. That's just me.

That's just me.[/quote] Agreed, I don't use sun screen, skin has evolved over thousands of years to protect its self, the only thing that has fucked that up is the propensity to keep it covered up, skin is a photo sensitive organ, melolin production plummets when the skin is not exposed to light leaving it susceptible to uv damage, doesn't have to be hot sunshine, exposure to normal daylight is sufficient to stimulate melolin production and maintain natural protection,

  I'm also one who avoids sunscreen and just keep my daily 'time budget' in mind. I'll resort to it if I know I'm going to be exposed for a longer time. My hair offers zero sun protection. :-)

  This is a strange topic, it's gone from people asking about hair removal or not and personal preferences, some appearing to be judgmental about others preferences and now to sunscreens. Whatever people choose is their choice, I'm not here to judge or be critical. I have a beard that I keep neatly trimmed, I trim my other body hair because I like to, my choice. I like to get sun earlier in the day, before 11am and after 5pm as it is gentler and so I get an even tan. In the peak of the day, I'll wear sunscreen if working in my yard and clothes if in the street. These decisions are mine, I'm not trying to force my views or nudity or preferences onto others. Happy to explain what works for me.

  If the original poster really has a disorder that causes them to have no body hair, I think it is a very legit question. I have known two people personally that had no body hair due to an auto-immune disorder. In that situation, where you have never been able to grow an hair, you have to wonder why those who can remove it all.

  Just what ever a person prefers. I have been shaved for many years long before it was so common to see other guys smooth. If you like it that way, that is all that matters.

  I shave my pubes because if I don't it itches and I like the way everything looks once or twice a year I shave my whole body from the neck down

  I only started trimming with a beard trimmer after a longish hair wrapped around penis and started to cut in and hurt, while I was clothed and in a situation I could not excuse myself for a while. Now every time I trim my beard I trim my pubes.
