  I'd suggest over the shoulder, but you need a full-size sarong for that. :-)

  The lead picture on the Nudist Wardrobe group shows someone wearing a small sarong over one shoulder, not what I had in mind. The person who posted it has mentioned elsewhere that he can adjust it for enough coverage to be accepted in most places when necessary but would still be too risky for me. Plus, I avoid wearing anything above the waist wherever I can.

  Id never considered having a sarong, but Lorna bought me one a couple of years ago, the only time I wear it is to go into the shop at the naturist village we stay at on holiday.

  You cant go in naked, but a sarong they are ok with,

  A wonderfully flexible item, a sarong. I have three or four. When I head to the nude beach I wear one between the car park and the beach. I can lie on it. Use it rolled up as a head rest. I can drape it over my shoulders when I go for a nude walk if the sun's fierce and I haven't yet put on sunscreen. At home I generally have one around to sit on/lie on and it's handy if someone comes to the door.

Have you ever had a problem getting into a business dressed like that?

One less thing to carry if you otherwise bring a towel.

  Air dry. I'll walk rather than use my towel - it's for sitting and laying out. It doesn't take long and I don't have to worry about wet towels. If wearing a suit, it's much the same except the suit may not get fully dry, but thin materials help.

  I have a few different sarongs. Even some that are see through. Those are for fun events. But love it for nude hiking. Its easy to use it if a textile comes up to me on the trails. Also the crop tops are small to cover only my shoulders and arms when hiking and wearing a pack for chafing. Plus it helps with sunburns.

  I've worn a sarong into town for shopping and so forth, with a shirt. Here in Hawaii it's not at all common, but not totally unknown. I use it as a coverup to go check the mail, or to get to the c/o beach, that kind of thing. Around beaches it's not noticed because people use it over suits, too, as a coverup. I was once down on the beach with nothing but the sarong; when we came back up we discovered that the car my friend had driven us in had been broken into. So, at the police station in just my sarong, I got to report that my clothes had been stolen. They didn't bat an eye.

  In Hawaii, dont they call them Lava lavas? Ive worn them for yrs. They are great for throwing on to go to the ice machine in a hotel or motel. I have several and wear them often and throw one on to answer the door if its a stranger.

  There's no Hawaiian word, strictly speaking, because they weren't worn in ancient Hawaii. (The men wore loincloths, and capes in bad weather). Lavalava is Samoan; pareu is Tahitian, Sarong is Maylay.

  Sure , when it's really hot like last week I'll do a crop top with cutoff jeans for shopping. A sarong? I'm probably not going to do that anytime soon.

Have any businesses objected to your crop tops?

  I am having a major upgrade done to my pool this week. While I would wear shorts (and no shirt) when interacting with them, would the sarong be sufficient in the house in case they see me through a window?
  For that matter, do I need to wear anything in the house?

NOTE: One thing I had trouble with at one time was working in an extablishement that was not closed. Every movement among clients or owner drew my attention away from my job even if it were only a second or two.

  Wearing your sarong at home even with workers there sounds fine to me. It's your home, you are free to wear what you want. As far as being nude inside the home while they are working, as long as you are discreet, I would do it. One way to broach the topic is to welcome them in the sarong and mention that it's more comfortable and easy to put on when someone comes calling since I'm usually nude in the house. Depending on their reaction, I might just tell them that I would prefer to be nude in the house as usual while they are there if they don't object. It's likely that they will not object since it is your home.
