Hello all,
I know this subject matter has been discussed to the moon and back, but I was simply wondering why so many resorts are so closed-minded and backward with regards to their policies toward single men.
In 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King gave a famous speech where he said that it was his dream for people "not to be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character". The same can be said here with regards to the relationship status of our male members; is it really fair to those of us who aren't pervs to lump us in with the others simply on account of our relationship status?
The irony is that perhaps the biggest sexual predators on this site are NOT the single men, but rather the married swingers. Wouldn't it make sense that people looking to have casual sex with others would have more transparent motives than the singles simply looking to relax and enjoy their time?
I understand that there have regretablly been a few bad eggs in the bunch, but why not throw out the rotten eggs while keeping the good ones? I propose an alternative system; how about requiring all resort-goers to have AANR membership and each member would have a file where incidents like gawking would be recorded and held against them when they try to check in at the resorts. How about a "review" system where owners of the resorts would rate their guests's behavior on a scale from 1-10, and each resort could have a minimum quality score for admission.
Perhaps the said rating could be displayed on sites such as this one, and then as opposed to simply stating "NO SINGLE MALES", these narrow minded folks could simply require a minimum rating in order to contact them. I know this is a rough idea, but it would make things a lot fairer for everyone.
Just my two cents, anyways...

Perhaps if some here adjusted their mindset and did not give out the streotypical male 'chest beating', attitudes among the ladies may change? More importantly if we are to be accepted then we must be 'whiter than white' in the eyes of the clubs/venues. Frankly I have been refused entries on the basis of my singularity but accepted after meeting owners, when with a girlfriend. The only time I have been a little upset was when asked to book the most expensive chalet/room if (as a single) I wished to visit!
totally understand your situ, the US has a lot of soul searching to do and so many citizens need to become self aware and not just beleive what they are told. the Land of the Free is anything but
What happens to mine and other's freedom of association?  We all have to live in harmony and that means balancing out what rights apply where.  Fortunately most resports are on private property and as such the owners are free to allow the people that they choose to come and go.  If two people rang my doorbell and I only let one of them into my house, would that mean I was discriminating and stepping on that second persons freedom????
There are also clubs that cater to single men in the Palm Springs area. I belive most if not all are Gay resorts. But you could also go to them. If you are not going to a resort looking for sex, then it should be a non issue, right?
This is absolutely correct.

I've been a single male nudist and more recently a partnered nudist.  My partner is only just trying the lifestyle and making small steps. One of the things inhibiting her is the behaviour of some single males at the club we visit.  I say "some" single males because I want to acknowledge that not all are the same.  However the list of things that trouble her (and me frankly) are:
    1. Single guys that appear to be relaxing and enjoying their time, but when they spot a female, they seem to get a compulsion to get up and walk over to the vicinity where the female is- even if its 100 yards or more.  With no obvious reason for the move.
    2. Single guys who leave a swimming area only to return 5 minutes later with what is obviously a semi-erection.  Then stand on a bank where my wife and I are enjoying a swim and ask a contrived and lame question just to draw attention to themselves.
    3. Obvious gawkers and pervs.
    4. Situations where the number of naked males is overwhelmingly more than females.
    5. My wife and I are friendly.  We're happy to say hello to other nudists, some single males take this as a cue to start up a lengthy conversation with a partnered woman.
    6. Single men who think its acceptable to stand in front of a woman who is sitting on a sandy beach area with their genitals in her eyeline just a couple of feet away.
    7. Where there's a number of ways one might leave an area on foot, single males who take a route that conveniently takes them immediately past an outstretched sunbaking woman.
    Are we over-reacting?

There are nudists and there are nudists. I had to learn, it is very hard to be accepted as single male nudist and I'm no longer interested, in going to nudist venues, where I'm not accepted. I'm not a criminal, however I feel like being treated as such. There is a trend of like minded single male nudists finding their own ways of hanging out together, which is rather inevitable.

This depicts the ways  we are as single male nudists. perhaps we are straight, bi or gay, perhaps we don't desire for sex at all, perhaps  as single males desire for nudist friendship/companionship more than anything else, which makes as free as to whatever.
I always will love the aspect of being nude, whether I'm barred by the other nudists, who wont accept me turning up as a single nudist, something I don't like, but something we have to conquer, which is the greater battle on top of having nudity socially accepted.

Due to some single men having a great sex drive , which they cannot control. This is, why we are all panned into the same category.
We are the offenders, we are made criminals and there is great discrimination against single males.

How easy was it for the females to emancipate in the eighties? We as men have put up with it for a long time, well, It hasn't worked with me, for at the time my woman wasn't  supprest at the time, while being together, yet she was a doctor of medicine and suffered an inferior complex, facing her husband and constantly consulting her parents at the time, which was never necessary.

I'm happy to be single since happy, after all I had to experience in married life ,which was disatisfactory.

My nudism, I did practice, it was ill respected, bad luck, it ended in divorce, great loss, but my happy to gain of freedom to be nude at all times.

    Yes I'm in a relationship with " Nature "

I've stated this in other threads - my observations are that it is not SINGLE men that usually cause the problems, but rather MARRIED and unaccompanied men.  "When the wife is away, I can play" syndrome.
Wow. Please!  Can we all not label or categorize any of us. I fit this description but I believe I am NEVER inappropriate in ANY of my activities or interactions. I try VERY hard to be respectful and genuine and I am sure most of us due. I have however been victim of people making assumptions about me. Yes, there are creeps in the world but they come in all types and varieties.
Please, I'm not criticizing anyone's point of view just encouraging all of us to think positively and even accept others along with their imperfections. After all, we all have them.

Lots of views put across here.Currently single, and first holiday alone. Fortunately camp site i booked has no restriction on gender or whether travelling alone or in a group. Some of my friends ( single and married men who enjoy naturism) often book as couples so they can go to some resorts with restrictions of single male. Personally, if they do not wish for my custom, that is their loss.

In my experience if you are member of AANR most of the resorts in my area will accept you no problem. However if you show up and don't belong to any regular clubs or have an AANR membership they strictly limit entry. They do this to prevent any voyeurs and creeps from overrunning their establishment and ruining the business for the real nudists.
As a single male, I have no problem with their business practices..

After all, we all have them.
I in no way meant to imply that all married men have this syndrome.  While there are certainly single men that cause problems, as I said, it has been my observation that more often than not, it is a married, unaccompanied man that creates controversy, and the "single" men (of which I am one) get lumped in with them...To that point, many clubs require the wife to join as well, and tend to shy away from single men.

As a single male, I have no problem with their business practices..
You are optimistic.  A few years ago I had two encounters.  First, I called a resort in advance to find out their costs and rules and the like, and I was asked if I was AANR I said no, and they asked if I was bringing my wife, and I said no as I'm no longer married, and they said not to bother coming because, as the guy said, they don't want any perverts.  I was taken aback, but I respected his decision.  So I looked at joining the AANR, and the same attitude.  Single men are not welcome.  That was in 2009.  I won't join them.

Some people are married and some aren't.  Just because I'm single does not make me any kind of a perv.  And for the AANR to say that, and the resort, man that just takes the cake.

The resort is the one down by Villa Grove Colorado (I forget the name and I remember it well as I almost bought me a home in Villa Grove).

    As I've posted elsewhere...
I'm a married male whose wife isn't interested in nudism in any form.  I've declined membership in landed a and non-standard clubs.  If my wife doesn't participate I can't join period.
In one of the clubs, I was told that if I was single, I could interview to join, but married without spouse...NO WAY.
This is obvious discrimination. But, what can we do.

All these National Nudist associations don't accept single males at all. I thought I was banging my head against a brick wall with the president of the Australian nudist association and the operating guy called Russian blue. I newer got my membership and I thought, shuff it, where you most need it. I'm able to enjoy my freedom of nudity, where ever I feel I can, without having to be a member of an association, who restricts and discriminates.
