This may have been discussed in here or some other forum but if so it has been a while.
I get the impression that many guys on here live alone and probably are more often naked rather than clothed while home.
Or might be nude when home and wife or partner are away.
Do any of you have a concern that if something happened like a heart attack , stroke , or freak home accident that renders you incapacitated or dead, and when you are found you are nude?
I know a morbid topic but would appreciate a civil and non judgmental discussion on it here please.
Thoughts?

SteveNov 30, 2020I don't live alone, but I'm sure if I were dead or unconscious, the last thing on my husband's mind would be to dress me. People fall in bathtubs, need help in many circumstances, when they're naked, nudist or not. Whatever you come in wearing, if you're alive you're going to end up in a hospital gown and if you're dead you're going to end up naked until they dress you for display.

OllyNov 30, 2020I'd like to be nude at my funeral in an open coffin. But I think my relatives would not do that.

AlNov 30, 2020To the OP, I am one of those guys who lives alone. Yes, I thought about it too, and like you had some concerns about how it might affect my "reputation." The fact is that being found naked dead or injured is a really really low concerns. I decided that it doesn't matter to me if I'm found naked. I enjoy my lifestyle as a nude person.
It matters so little to me that I routinely drive naked too. The likelihood of being killed while naked in a car crash is really low anyway, and I agree that EMTs are going not going to care if they're dealing with an injured me. ]
Nevertheless, I often think about calling 911 and then finding something to put on if I'm sick and not bleeding to death. So I guess I care a little.:-).ReactReply - MEMemberDec 1, 2020
I had an acquaintance several years ago that had a heart attack on the job. He would normally wear business attire that included a tie & sometimes a coat. I asked him about his experience. ....he told me he passed out and woke up nude on the table in the ER just before they wheeled him off to surgery. That said...it probably doesnt matter how they found you...its how you wake up.

nudonyDec 1, 2020
If I'm found dead and naked... they wouldn't think it strange at all. They'd be more upset that I was dead than naked.
Same as Andy. If I passed at home I would more likely be nude at the time; so my wife would be certainly be more distressed by my death than my nudity. As a matter of fact she might even be nude herself when she found me dead. I'm guessing getting dressed wouldn't be her first priority in this situation. I am also to be cremated; although I don't care if I'm nude or dressed in my best suit. It's all going to be ashes anyway in the end.ReactReply - MC
McdcvsDec 1, 2020It does not matter. I have hear of several of my friends and relatives that have been found dead and nude. Mostly because they were in the bathroom or bed.
I have unfortunately been a part of a few emergency calls in a First Aid capacity. In both of the heart attacks, the shirts were cut off. One was a man and the other was a women whos bra was also cut off in a conference room with many people around. In my first aid training and learning to use a AED, the female instructor told us that if we ever have to use it on a woman, cut off anything that will keep you from place the pads directly on the chest, women wont mind who sees them as long as we try to save their life.

TurtleDec 1, 2020the week before thanksgiving I had to call 911 to come get me from my house because I could not breath. I was necked when they should up and I was just in a gown when they let me go three days later, and if I'm not at work I'm necked I don't worry about it its my body and it is what I look like.
I have mold in my lungs and I still recurving form cleaning out an old house with a friend. I had to stay on a oxygen and could not do a lot.
there a nurse that comes by and check on me and I'm nude then he douse not care he said in his job there is plenty of old and unhealthy people that he see's naked everyday.so if they have seen it than I don't see way I should worry about it.

My mother once suffered from heart failure at the emergency room entrance. He clothes had been cut off of her before she even got to the examination and treatment area. The medical profession will just have one less procedure to perform if you are found nude in an emergency. It did not bother my mon, and it would not bother me to be found nude. I could even envision myself as a nude walk in should I still be able to walk, but not have the ability to get myself dressed because both hands would be needed to control bleeding.

McdcvsDec 2, 2020A few years ago, my wife had a stroke while we were sitting on the couch watching a movie. I was nude, she was not. I called 911 and was putting on sweat pants and a t-shirt. I may have been a bit awkward waling around nude while the EMT's were her working on her. I would have had to get dressed anyway to go to the hospital.

FullSunDec 2, 2020Slightly off topic but in the 1990s while a group we later became part of was doing their annual trip to Grand Lido in Negril, Jamaica one of the members went to sleep nude in a chaise lounge on the nude beach and never woke up. His wife and other members of the group found him. I know it was very upsetting but even the wife supposedly said there isnt a much better way to go.

There was a couple in their 80s on it. At the end of the cruise while waiting to get on the plane to fly home the guy had a massive heart attack and died. His widow was happy that their last week together was so filled with great memories.ReactReply - MEMemberDec 3, 2020I don't know how much you know about the human death process, but let's just say that if you are found nude, that if you are male, you're probably going to have an erection that isn't going to go away. At any rate, unless you get cremated - and usually then, too - if your body is in good enough condition (and most peoples' are, usually...) you are going to be naked before the funeral.
You basically get stripped naked, cleaned and a bunch of stuff that you probably don't want to know about happens to your corpse. Then you are redressed and prepared for what will hopefully be an open-casket funeral. But you are going to be seen naked by as many as three or four people after death, so why care about being found naked unless you somehow die while performing a David Carradine?ReactReply - MC
