Does anybody know where you can get waxed in the Sydney area or if places will even wax men? To be honest, i hate shaving and while no lover of pain, I would rather suffer a few minutes of it to avoid shaving. I'm looking to get my balls, shaft done. Any help would be appreciated, thank you. :)

BriOct 18, 2008i tried waxing but you have to be careful...skin can react to type of wax..i had my back waxed for first time last year and my back took forever to recover..my skin reacted to the wax..so you have to do research or ask lots of questions to make sure they use wax that is safe....i would do it again but would double check...i'm not a big fan of total hairless bodies especially on men but i'm also not a fan of a hairy back! :) (and i don't even really have that much hair but always bothered me)

I don't know much about waxing, but a mate of mine was a hairy beast and his g/f just bought some wax off the shelf and did it for him. Hehe...that way he didn't have to cry in front of strangers. ;)ReactReply

Ouch!!! It all sounds really painful. Think I will just stick to shaving. I use disposable single-blade razors, and follow up with an after-shave balm for sensitive skin (Nivea makes a good one for men). No pain, doesn't take long. Do it every second day or so.

JohnTNJan 8, 2009I use moisturizer to shave with. 1) It is very inexpensive; 2) It gives a good shave; 3) It moisturizes the skin as you shave.

I looked at the NADS and I too thought about the distinct possibility of brain (and other parts) numbing pain and put it back. I have tried hair removal creams and found that they start out fine and the results last about a week. After a while I found that they start to burn the skin and trust me.. (J could most likley say this in a more colorful way) it was not a fun thing that I want to continue. So, back to the blade.

Tweezing _sounds_ painful, but in my experience, it's actually less uncomfortable than almost everything else.
If you keep _thinking_ it's going to hurt, and freaking out about it, it maginifies your perception.
I had my doubts, but when I tried it, it really hurt for like the first two hairs, and then was not uncomfortable at all.
Unfortunately, I tend to get ingrown hairs (apparently, most people don't have the problems I do), so a week later, I had some of those.
