I work in downtown St. Louis. As far I as I know, some male textiles use their lunch hour to go across the river and visit Illinois "nudie bars", where they can gawk at strippers. No, I haven't done it myself. :-) Nor do I intend to.
The point is, if they have their "nudie bars", why can't we have "nudist bars"?
Imagine a nudist-only establishment where patrons can visit for 30-60 minutes, eat, drink and socialize with their fellow nudists. A sauna, a hot tub, maybe even a small pool... A lounge, definitely. Of course, the windows would be draped, and all kinds of warning signs would be posted at the front door. :-)
The good thing is, this establishment could work year round, with no regards for the weather outside.
Legal issues? Well, if nudie bars can function (albeit not in Missouri), and adult bookstores can function as well (again, with draped windows and warning signs), then why not? After all, there would be no lewd activity...
I know I'm probably being overly enthusiastic (as a typical neophyte normall is), but still...

ChuckSep 28, 2011I know that nudity is far more open in England and Europe than here in the US. Probably no city government would ever let you have a license to open one up! It is a great idea and would give naturist and nudists a place to go to comfortably nude around other nudists.ReactReply - DE
DesertRatAug 16, 2012The only nude bars that really make sense and are also profitable are located in the nudist resorts.ReactReply - SUsunnmaxxAug 17, 2012In the late 1980's one opened up in Topeka, KS but about 6 mo later the city closed it when there was a fight or something.ReactReply

Lakeman221Jun 21, 2015I think if there were to be a nude bar, it should be nudity mandatory, NOT clothing optional. Have a clothes check room at the entrance where each person could have a separate locker to put their clothes in on entering the bar. This would eliminate a bunch of clothed gawkers. If your going in, your gonna be naked.ReactReply - GO
Good77Jun 21, 2015Interesting idea, I think it could work, but may be awkward with guys and gals getting drunk then doing things that should not be done

J.Jun 23, 2015Hopefully the Garden of Eden will still be open in February of 2017. That's when the Bare Necessities nude cruise will be stopping in Key West. I'm guessing that day will have a slightly higher ratio of nude guests than when Love2bnude3 was there!ReactReply - SH

[/quote]Hear you on that... we just returned from Club Orient in St. Martin last week and spent far too much time (and Euros) at the Perch bar on the nude beach! I even bought one of those baseball caps with a hidden pocket to stash my cash so we wouldn't run up our room charge account and get a big surprise on checkout.ReactReply
