  Hello all nudists.
  I drove naked a few years ago, to experience this feeling. I loved it, I felt totally free without clothes. I especially like to drive barefoot.

  I imagine, in many cases, there is indeed a fine line between exhibitionism and nudism, that may or may not be crossed without consciously knowing...the freedom of being nude I believe clouds the issue for some...
  Personally, I hate wearing clothes most of the time and shed them whenever possible...sometimes it might be considered exhibitionism but I really don't care what others think...I'm just happy being textile free...

  [/quote]Exhibitionist?!  Absolutely not.  I would prefer no one see me at all.  I'm such an introverted person that the thought never crossed my mind.  I live, and thus mostly drive, in a rural area.  Very little chance of been noticed.
  
  I do however still would like to see a day when nudity is an accepted way of life by all, thus being no more an "exhibitionist" than someone who enjoys wearing loud shirts.

  At least now we know why NudeJohnny has a problem with those of us who drive nude.
  Like so many textiles, he does not understand the difference between nudity and sex.
  
  As others have posted here, driving nude is not about exhibitionism, nor anything else other than a more comfortable way to drive.

  Back when I first started driving in the nude,I was living in a condo,and had no garage.So I had to be wearing at least a pair of shorts.I did not always wear a shirt.I am not brave enough to drive nude around town.Most of the time I wait till I am on a country road,before I take my shorts off.I now live in a house with a garage.On a few occasions,I have remained nude for my drive home.I simply pull into the garage and go in the house still nude.I have thought about being nude when I leave the house,but have some shorts with me.I would not feel comfortable leaving the house nude,with no cover up.I am always aware of my surroundings,and will quickly put my shorts back on ,if I feel uncomfortable.Ride nude but be careful.

  I used to do it more often, in australia, with our big open spaces, it's pretty safe once you're out of the cities or towns.
  
  But, I had a scare once, I was on one of our major rural highways, with no real quick cover up option having only jeans and a shirt with me (ever tried to get jeans on quick in the driver's seat of a car?  I haven't - but imagine that) and I was passing through a tiny town where there is just a fuel station and a shop, and the police were pulling random cars into a parking bay to do breath testing.  They were pulling my whole lane in, and I was shitting myself, until they decided they had enough for the time being and let a couple of cars ahead of me, and me, go on our way.  I cruised past this traffic cop completely nude with my heart about to leave my chest.  So after that I stopped doing it on highways.
  
  I haven't done it for a long time now.  I find unless its a really long drive it's just a bit of an annoyance to have to stop, undress, then stop again for anything like major towns or busy areas, or road works, to dress again, even if it is just pulling on a pair of shorts.
  
  Also, I find that you never really know what's going to be around the corner, so you can never 100% relax, and that's tiring too.
  
  I do remember a time when I was pulling an old caravan, and I didn't really trust it to not fall apart on me, so I stopped regularly to walk around it and check it out, it was fun doing that nude, as it was a lovely warm day and it was nice to have that chance to be nude in public, even though I timed my checks between cars going past.

  I have driven nude many times in cars and trucks, the longest trip was 350 miles.The most memorable and daring time was on a motorcycle. I rode about 50 miles down I-55 south of chicago, just after I got dressed there was a cop that passed me, he looked at me hard like he was looking for the nude biker. Ther biker fit the discription, but I wasn't nude when he caught up with me. Pure luck.

  Another good option when driving a vehicle is a 'kilt like' garment that closes with velcro. A traditional kilt has buckles and straps and is not easy to close when seated but this looks like a kilt so is considered legal clothing. Just sit down, and open it if you want to be naked; flip it closed and press the velcro and you can get right out of your car or truck. Also keeps the sweat off the seat or your butt from sticking to leather seats. I imagine it could also be worn on a bike. Works great unless you're really just looking for the thrill of possibly getting caught.

  This is something I've always wanted to try. I'm a bit too concerned about being caught though. I had thought a sarong would be handy, something you can sit on while driving and just wrap around should the need arise.

  So proud of myself!  Reading some of the things in this group really inspired me, so tonight I took my first TWO naked drives.  In the beginning it wasn't really fun as I was too worried about who might see (the hard work of pacing as mentioned by Andi) but after the first five minutes I could care less who would see me.  Luckily, the vibe over here is that a miracle would need to happen for someone to phone the cops if they see you; they might snigger or have an interesting discussion with their friends, but who cares!  I loved it and will do this often!!
  I planned the initial drive since this morning; knew I had a late night meeting with a third party in an isolated area and I just knew that this was my chance (couldn't focus on any meetings during the day as I kept visualising lol).  The first drive was without any pants but I left my shirt on.  After I got home I was so thrilled that I decided to wait an hour or so and to then go for a fun drive.  I left the house in shorts and a T shirt and took it all off as I went around the corner from my house.  I was  planning to put it on again before I stopped in my driveway, but the rush was too much!  I pulled up the driveway naked and stopped in my garage.  I then waited the 30 seconds for the auto lights to turn off and actually got out the car and walked all the way to the front door.. naked.  I am now typing this and I am still naked... and absolutely thrilled by the experience!
  Thanks for talking about this.  I would also now be one of the peeps very interested to hear about other dares, especially if they are as much fun as this.

  Tried driving Nude, a couple of times at nights approximately 75 miles, but here in the UK it's not that warm, even in the summer. Not able to do so in the daytime to many CCTV every where at the minute.

  I live in the Hampton Roads, VA area where there is TONS of traffic.  The chances of me getting caught during the daytime are extremely high, and it is a Class 1M in VA.  I have driven with my bottoms off at night.  You can't see in the car as much, and it is not as risky.  If I was to drive nude during the day, I would have a towel to put over myself.  That should cover the law here in VA.

  I drive nude to work in the morning and home in the evening through rush hour both ways. 30mile commute each way in a big city in central Texas.  Due to the traffic, it has occasionally taken 2hours to get to my destination (most of the time about 1hour). I have mastered the art of driving nude and not being seen though I have to say most people are oblivious to their surroundings anyway. I drive highways and surface streets completely nude sometimes with the windows down without any issues. But of course I have been doing it so long I know how to do it without resulting in problems if you know what I mean.
  I am also a smoker who hates smoking in my car. Which means I have to get out to have that smoke. Getting back dressed is a pain so I started looking for ways I could get out still nude, have my smoke and then continue my drive.  Parking garages have been a godsend for this. I have discovered several along my route and have been able to successfully get out of my car nude sometimes with people sort of nearby and have my two minutes of smoke. Still nude. I do not have an SUV but a regular 4 door sedan, but at least with mine the doors are just the right size where I can back in to a spot against a wall and the door blocks view from in front.
  If anyone would like to go from novice nude driver (like only at night or only when out in the country) to expert (all the dang time), feel free to ask me for tips. Or if you live in the Austin area, I can give you the tour of what I do and how I do it to enjoy but remain safe.  Stay nude friends!
