  Back when I lived in New Mexico, my car didn't have air conditioning. In the summer, when I had to drive somewhere for hours on roads that had hardly any traffic, I'd drive nude. If anybody glanced into my car, they'd see me topless, but that wasn't exactly a rare thing when temperatures were high. What made it endurable were sheepskin seat covers.

I rarely do, but the majority of men at the nude beach I attend do. My thought is why wear more than you have to when you are just going to take it all off soon anyway?

  What's with all the recent criticism of guys wearing a shirt when they don't have to? It's a choice they are free to make and they don't need to be reminded that they could be shirtless.

  I've taken to just bringing a shirt and leaving the towel behind. I get sand over most of my body but then I rinse off in sea. The shirt acts as a pillow.

  Already posted this on another thread (so many duplicate threads!):

  Another hour's nude driving today to the beach and back on a long lunch break and, since I swapped cars with my wife today, taking my crossover vehicle, I was even quicker stripping (red lights through a shopping strip!) before dropping my windows as soon as the transformation was complete.

  The very first red light once the windows were down had me stopping in my lane adjacent to unoccupied space which was then taken up by a mini van. Even though I pulled up with a larger-than-usual gap to the car in front (so as to not line up with the cabin of the other car) he stopped with his window aligned to mine anyway. He initially leant back in his headrest and I thought I might get away with it but by the time the light changed to green he had moved his head forward and doubtless got an eyeful. I was not going to make eye contact! The rest of the journey (freeways to urban arterials) had no times where anything could be seen for more than a fraction of a second, even if they were inclined to look.

  The final twist was on the road into the beach. There's a guy who comes to the beach on foot and at least on one occasion before I have picked him up and taken him as farcas the car park. He was there today. No comment was made and we both knew where we were going, so all good, but it does mean 100% of people who have hitched a lift from me have seen me drive naked. :-)

  No, nothing more than an acknowledgement as we passed walking the shoreline later. CO beach trips remain a solo activity for me. I'll dip, walk, and read while laying out. I'm not the outgoing type and shall respond if anyone approaches but, being a single male, I'm not really inclined to initiate anything apart from the occasional casual quip if the situation arises.

  On my first visit this (southern hemisphere) season, as I was leaving the beach wearing only my Skinzwear A14 patterned mesh shorts (not see through without close inspection but perhaps the sheerness can be seen around the edges in the light), I passed a lady and her man heading to the CO zone and she complimented me on them. I was so surprised I only thanked her for her assessment and failed to come up with a good reply or engage in a few minutes of conversation, which I wish I had done now.

No problems with accidental exposure?

  No, they're 1.5" inseam but cup my equipment so that there's no risk of exposure. Detail can be seen through the print if one looks hard enough, and I wonder if colorblindness defeats the distraction of the printed pattern.

  Driving to the beach and return au naturel again today, but in my sedan. Clothes were off in short order. It took a little time before I put the windows down (on the freeway) but they stayed there once I was back on arterial roads. The return trip was windows down from the carpark until I had to start dressing agan near my destination.

  Driving nude in a large sedan with reasonably large windows is different to a crossover. Lots more opportunities to look in with the lower ride height, although I'm not aware of anyone copping an eyeful.

I own one and that is one of the reasons I don't drive nude. Would rather drive with the top off and my shorts on than the other way around.

  Yeah, no obscuring in a convertible. Rented an MX-5 on a holiday once, convinced my wife to do some bikini shots with it.

  Nude in my sedan (Mitsubishi Diamante) is probably more daring that the convertible with the roof up due to the large window area. Airflow at freeway speed is glorious with the windows down.

While she is fine with me being nude at home, both in the house and inside the privacy fence in the back yard, she does not want me to drive nude. A few times on a hot day she has asked me to turn the air conditioner off. I have offered to do so if I take my shorts off. She has always decided to remain uncomfortably cool instead.

Just an early-morning drive to a lookout for some photos in Noosa. The photos are on film; that's how long ago! May also be why I took two or three of her and none of me. Film was not cheap!

  Whenever I can. I keep shorts on the floorboard just is case. Driving nude is just comfortable especially for a long trip.

  I love to do it during summertime.
  It is so hot in Italy and perfect when you have no clothes on.
  I have leather-seats on my Jeep and it feels good on my skin. Gets sweaty and wet and I love that

  I was a van dweller for a year to just experience the life style. I absolutely loved it despite my van being to small, but i made do with it. Wake up jump out take a piss jump in and drive to a river to take a quick bath every morning, or shower when it rained. I was always driving in the buff. Best year of my life and I can not wait to do it again.

One of the thoughts was about the van being too confining, but it would be less so on one's own. Did you sit or go about your day inside or outside the van?

  It was a little bit more than a year but definitely one winter I had a plastic 3 drawer tote from walmart that had my clothes so enough for the week minus underwear mostly raingear and work clothes. Other than going to work I was always nude. On occasion i would hook up with some nudist or gay friends with kayaks or canoes and go explore on some lakes. Which is why I Was always late to work LOL.

  Sounds idyllic. Kayaking here demands wearing a life vest since we're in a Nanny state. My wife was once cautioned for not wearing the life vest while out in a small bay, although she had her bikini on. For me, they'd likely notice the lack of a life vest from afar and notice the lack of anything else soon afterwards! When out I try to keep awayvfrom other watercraft, especially when they are moving. Most have settled into a good fishing spot and are mining their own business, not so the authorities.

  Here a while back I had done some yard work and was totally soaked in sweat.. It was several miles from home, down several back country roads so I took off all my clothes jumped in the truck and drove home NAKED. Loved the whole trip and passed several vehicles going the other way and I thought about being naked and them not knowing it. Then I wondered if any of them were naked too. Who am I to think I'm the only one to be driving NAKED. I do wish it was more common place than it is.
