Adding pictures to blogs

Hi

I apologies if this has been asked before - I tried to search but couldn't find anything...

I was all keen to try to write a blog but couldn't work out how to add some pictures from my media to the blog. Is this possible?

    Click the little photo button in the editor (second from right, immediately preceding the quote button), which will pop-up a request for a url of the image you want to put into your blog. It appears that presently the editor must link to an image that is already online somewhere, and does not provide direct upload of an image into your blog. You can do it manually, too. The blog editor uses simple markup. Put the url of your image between two IMG markup tags. It looks like this: (remove the periods to make it work--- i.m.g should be img) [i.m.g]https://website.com/yourimage.jpg[/i.m.g]
