BUG? Got a "new message" notification but no messages there....

Hi, since a couple of days I'm flagged in my home/profile I have new notifications, namely a new message, with a "View new message(s)" button. But when I click on it try reading it, I see an empty inbox and the notice "You have no messages". Yet, the notification counter is still active to count "1! and no way to reset it or have it back to its correct value. And any time i log back in, still I see that (apparently) fake notification alert pointing to an empty inbox. Any hints?

    I get a message that says the same too. However, I have discovered that a number also appears at the top of the page next to the word "Home" When I click that number, my new messages appear.

    I've sent in several "BUG" reports on this problem. So far - no fix.
