Can someone instruct me on how to delete a post?

I have become very skittish about posting on this site because I find it just about impossible to edit, or delete.

I wrote a post to a discussion just now, and twice got a message that it would not post--a white screen with an "error" message suggesting that there was a problem with the site and post did not go through. So I waited a while to see if that changed, it didn't and I didn't see it posted. So I tried again, same routine. Waited a while longer, still no post appeared. So I tried a third time and now see that the post is in triplicate on the site. Any of us who use this site often know that it's one of many failures of the way the site has been executed (take that in any sense you choose). But as a long time paid member, I would like some agency with my posts, it's a bit embarrassing to see me falling for such things.

Is there a way to delete two of the repeated posts?

It has been broken for awhile now. Every time one thing is fixed on this site, two more are broken.

If it really bothers you and you are on a windows browser, you can delete it.

Right click on the post you want to delete on the word "Quote"
    Left click on Inspect
On the line that is highlighted in the window that just opened, look up a few lines and right click on the line that has "moderator" in it.
    Left click on Edit Attribute
Add the word "member" between "owner" and "admin"
Left click anywhere in the white space
Left click the "X" in the upper right hand corner of the HTML window.

The delete function should now appear at the bottom of the post.

The edit function is one line up and is the same process. Add the word "member". As you can see, I did this to edit this post.
