Chat room cams. — Website Upgrades and Opinions on True Nudists

Seems to me that there is a lot of inappropriate activity in the nudism chat room related to the cams. While I personally don't always use my cam and I only use it so folks can see that I am who I claim to be, I really appreciate being able to do that. However, this privilege seems to be much abused and has made it's use in the chat room almost impossible for female members of this site.
As this site's name implies, this site's claim is to provide a medium for true nudists to socialize with one another. In the interest of keeping that theme the main focus, it is my hope that the admins here would find a way to "cull" out those who aren't here for that reason. I understand that the site already has a certification policy in place to help alleviate some of this problem but access to the chat room seems to be open to all who can sign in as non-certified guest.
Perhaps the admins could implement a minimum requirement for access to the chat room and it's cam feature. This would affectively limit violations of conduct simply by making it too much trouble for those who enter the chat room for the wrong reason. I understand that such a change would require new software code be written and that comes with some degree of financial cost. I feel that the integrity of this site is at stake here and worthy of these changes.
There is one other matter I'd like to bring up. Nudism has nothing to do with sexual preference. We nudist have no desire to know what a person's sexual preference is. I strongly encourage the admins to enforce the chat room rules to eliminate reference of that from the posts in the chat room. Thanks and God bless.

I would really like to see a separate chat room for certified members only.

General room conversations rarely lead towards sexual chat as this gets the perps kicked. And if you are in private and don't like the gist or tone, say so, or report it to the chatroom mods. Good manners are not dictated by 'certification' and as mods find, many offenders in the chatroom are indeed certified. Take care in the chatroom, it has many dark corners!

I agree with the points made above but we have to be realistic. TN needs money to operate, having a free video chat facility increases their chances of enticing people to pay for membership of the whole site and access to more naked imagery(>6 member pics). I'm happy to let people pay for that stuff and thereby fund the only bits of TN relevant to my interest in naturism, which are the forums and selected groups. What's more, I get that for free. It's a shame I (we) can't use the chat room to properly connect with the kind of naturists we'd like to meet but to provide that kind of service (that Iwouldpay for), needs a radical rethink of the way the site earns money and even then I suspect it it would not be possible to come up with a sustainable subscription model at a reasonable price.

Apologies but I <yawn> when I keep reading the same topics started over the years. I have been a member for over x4-four, years now & we did have x2 chat rooms at one time. Also there was a much lower limit of chat room users than there is at present. I tend to only put my webcam on in the room when I am having a nudist day at home. I am not comfortable being in a naturist/nudist setting/chatroom & being in textiles. Just me. In regard to "in-appropriate" members in the chatroom; there are not many. I am in for many hours at a time, & those tend to be very new members who do not get/understand the ethos of our website or chat room. I know, & sympathise that it gets boring or annoying to have "flies" land on one's webcam for say 20 secs just to have a look, like some kind of beauty parade and then frig off. Good riddance to them. The people I regularly chat to in private are long standing friends and we do have some great heart to hearts at times which we most certainly would not wish others to listen in to. These are not perverted chats, rather how life can affect us at a given time and needing one of our friend's who we know we can trust to be a listening ear. I tend not to talk in the main room, apart from saying hello when I log in, due to the room being very American centric & talking about issues/places and a culture I do not particularly like. I am sure my reply has upset or offended someone. It would not be real life probably if it did not. Take care & stay nude, Andrew.

I log into the chat room frequently and just watch the text scroll by. I have yet to see anyone talk about something interesting. The texts seem to be mostly what school kids would say to each other all day. Yes I would like to see a certified only chat room too.

I like two of the ideas that I read in here. Either have another chat room that is for certified members only or (this would likely be more difficult to set up) make it mandatory to be nude on cam in this additional chat room. I think this would filter out many of the people who sign up just to see pics or get access to the chat room to view cams. What do you guys think?

Personally I like to cam when I am in the chat room. I find myself not looking at cams if I do not have mine on. I wish it was set up they you can't look at a cam unless yours is on. And the funny part is a lot of people will turn mine on then leave because they are not seeing what they want to see. Oh, once in a while i get a "whisper" to please stand up or something rude like that but in that case i just say out loud in the room "so and so" wants me to stand up so what should i do? Well once they find out they were "busted" most of the time they usually leave. Oh well it is what it is,,,,,

Here is what is really very immature and school kid like, complain about the conversations in the chat room being boring and not offering

any topics to chat about?   Basically it is this, if you can't bring a better conversation to the chat room then what you say is boring, then

you have no room to complain, EVER.   IT is that simple.   Seems there are always people who say they can do this or that better , but

never seem to do it.   They just sit back and say things like " I could do so much better then those people, but I don't want to".

AS to the chat room being cliquish, really, the people who use the chat room to chat change or a fairly regular basis, what the

"school kids" get upset about is when they come in the chat room the room does not stop for them. All are asked to join in, but

many do not, then they complain about the clique.

Again, if you don't join in then you have no room to complain about anything.

I've only been a member for less than a week and I fortunately have not seen any explicit sexual activity in the chat so far, though I do get a lot of cam views from guys who don't appear to have their own cams available. Just something about that seems rather... uncouth.
