Comments appearing multiple times on threads.

I made a comment in a group thread. I noticed after posting that there was something that I wanted to edit, I attempted to edit it and then got a message saying that only the contributor can edit posts! I am the contributor.

I refreshed the page and found that there were now 5 versions of the same comment by myself! How can I be told that I cannot edit my own recent post, because I am not the contributor, yet be able to repeatedly post the same comment, when I didn't do that, I only clicked on save the original post once?!!!

Ahhh right, this is True Nudists, anything is possible, apart from what you intended to do. Or so it seems rather too often these days.

I've noticed that other contributors seem to have posted the same message repeatedly, for some time. This is not a new bug and I know that some other people have tried to bring it to the website owners attention for some time.

    It's the "back" button. When you do a post and then back across it to return to the discussion or wherever, it posts again.

    After you post, you get a dialog box inviting you to stay, to include a photo, or to return to the discussion. "Return to discussion" is the thing - it cleanly unhooks you and takes you back to the forum. Where, if you like, should be able to re-open your post in edit mode. And to delete redundant ones.

And to delete redundant ones.[/quote] Thanks for the reply. I hadn't thought of that, if that's right it shouldn't be difficult to change the code for it, should it TN? If that is the cause for others seemingly posting multiple times its been happening for some time. I can see why some people might not bother with deleting the repeated messages, it's a slow and convoluted process, there seems to be no way to delete more than one message at a time.
