Apr 29, 2011In browsing through the site, we came across a link to a "donate" page:http://www.truenudists.com/donate/We tried several of the donation links there, but apparently they are no longer working. It would be nice to have that option available again.
"Upgrading" to become a paid member is certainly a good way to support TN, but is not something we are comfortable with. The main benefit of upgrading is access to a lot more pictures. Pictures are really not important to us, and 5 is plenty to get a feel for who someone is. Unfortunately, many of the pictures posted do not follow site rules (http://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=1246) and we are not interested in paying for access to them. Please understand, this is a personal conviction and not something we are trying to judge others based on.
Bottom line, TN is a very useful site and we do get good value from it. We would like to support it, but don't want to buy pictures. If the donate feature was restored we would be glad to use it.

NWWACoupleOriginal PosterApr 29, 2011

The primary reason for upgrading is helping the owner/admin to keep TN online.
From the upgrade your account page:Why Join?1. Instant Access to the entire gallery 2. Instant Access to over101,844public profile photos 3. Help support the site and promote nudism! 4. No ads displayed to paid members Looks like that's reason 3.....
We totally agree - there are signifcant costs invoved, and we want to help cover them. All we're asking for is a way to get that without 1 and 2 on the list. We may be the only ones that feel that way and it may not be worth TT1's time/effort. Just putting it out there as a suggestion. A thorough site cleanup would be fine too, but that is probably too much to ask of one person trying to manage more than 80k profiles/members.ReactReply - NW
NWWACoupleOriginal PosterApr 29, 2011

I wonder how old that is.
No clue, but I think you can see why it gives the feel that you are buying pictures. To TT1's credit, it's probably sold a lot of people on the upgrade. We thought of another simple option though. The Upgrade page also lists a mailing address for sending in a check. We can send in a check with a note that indicates we don't want to be upgraded. Nice and easy.
