  Yeah, I've reported quite a few of late, but I usually block them too, so hard to say what happens and how quickly. Recently I've had lots of Likes or messages from ones wanting me to go to their webcam site, presumably the increase in such activity is linked to the virus...

Whether theyrememberor not, is an entirely different question! I think the idea has its merits and its downsides. I know that when I was younger, the idea of posting a nude picture to a site I didn't know much about, showing my face, username, etc, even though it was only for Admin, was a worry. Nowadays, I'm a bit more relaxed about it, but I can see how it might be a concern, especially for younger or female new members. Curiously, I also haven't really noticed any difference in what I get from the site or forums in terms of interaction with others, between when I was uncertified and after I got certified, but maybe I just can't see it and it has changed how everyone else reading this perceives me. On the flip side, you are right in that it would certainly deter a lot of the fakes, especially the guys with women's pics, although it would likely not deter some of the women trying to sell their pics and stuff. but would go a long way to stamping it out.   The last two likes were from females who were most likely been payed to sell other websites have had their profile removed from this site in the last couple of days and I have flagged another two for the same reason and it will be interesting to see how quick they go.

  yes, there have been so many fake female profiles for weeks now.

  I wish the owners of this site cared what the members thought and what they wanted from the site.

  If the owners did care they would have a simple page you could send suggestions not this forum area.

  I constantly hear from people why they won't pay to be a member on the site because the site won't fix the problems.
  The owners are basically losing a lot of money because of not listening to what members want.

  I enjoy this site and many more people would as well if it had just a few issues resolved

If the administrators were investing more in maintaining the quality, they would receive more traffic and profit from recommendations within the community, even if they weren't the biggest network.

  Yet another friend request today from someone whose profile was just a link to her site where I can buy her pictures or webcam with her or whatever it was this time... I reported it and blocked it, I hope others do the same - though somehow they still often have guys posting "thanks for your friend request" and such like on their profiles... How gullible are some people here?

  Yes I have the same happen almost on a weekly basis, it would be nice if there was some form of acknowledgement that the user has been deleted from the system. Also I think that all users should be made to get certified regardless of whether or not they wish to become fully paid members, I have raised this several times but the webmaster/developer seem to be dragging their heels a bit on this. Not very good really. I totally agree with the point you raised. NB: I have had my first fake profile of the week with a link to a sex link of some kind, not interested in links to the fakes profiles or sites that are probably full of malware.

  There are several new fake accounts made every day.

  The TN site is known for not caring about keeping a quality site online. I go in several other sites and groups and they all say similar things that the TN website is self-destructing because the owners don't care about keeping a quality site. The TN site loses so many people because of the reputation it is developing. Profiles older than two years that haven't been accessed and don't pay for membership need to be deleted now! At the rate the TN site is failing the needs of True Nudists that want to be here the site may be gone in the coming future. Not sure what it will take to get the owners to wake up and clean up the TN site. The owners should make anyone that advertises sex phone numbers in their profile to move to TrueSwingers and if they don't leave the TN site then they should get deleted. I really hope the owners of this site begin to realize the revenue they are losing for lack of attention to what members want.
  This TN site could be so nice with just a little bit of common sense applied.

Flagging does workfor the sex-site spammers - it even generates a second set of complaints, from users who have e-mail notifications turned on, who get an e-mail that they have a FR or messages, and then come on the site and don't find it, because it came from a spammer whose profile has already been deleted. The fakes who are on here to collect pics or get their jollies interacting with unsuspecting online friends can't be dealt with in such an automated fashion, and things quickly get ugly when online vigilantes start trying to search them out. If a fake isn't reaching out to me, I'm happy to ignore them, and just enjoy the site.

  There is an easy solution if you don't like another TN member (fake or real nudist). Just ignore them!

  If someone asks me to contact them elsewhere I say I prefer to exchange messages here first. There is one group which I administer where it matters that new members are real. It's the Dare to Bare group. They also have to show they are happy being seen naked. I'm very much aware that a member can download a photo and use it as their own - for example men pretending to be women. It is harder for them to say something convincing about themselves unless it's real.

  I went in a few months ago and deleted everyone who wasn't certified from my friend list. We all know what the certification process is. That seems to be the best plan.

  I have discovered that the avatar picture on a user's profile can be googled by right clicking on it. There is an option on the menu that appears. Most fake accounts use pictures that google can immediately recognize as ones related with porn stars photo sessions, or scammers (from sites who report scam schemes), or are repeatedly used in accounts of other dating media.

However, there is a big difference in Google pic search when you examine the avatar photo of an account with a username consisting of a name plus a two or four digit number. Most of the times the search engine comes with multiple appearances of a photo in other web sites. I would like to add that users' activity in the forum also proves authenticity beyond any doubt. Even if us users disagree on certain issues of the lifestyle, (or the proper presence of ourselves on TN) we know that the words come from persons who are interested to be here. Everyone who interacted with fake accounts in the past, has recorded some patterns in his/her mind of the typical behaviour of a fake account. Variety and deviation from these patterns should be statistically adequate to conclude who is real and who isn't. PS: I only use one number in my username. Silly me, I entered my email address with a typo when I arrived here, so I had to start over again. These angie24 and and nadia37, how many times did they fail to register themselves correctly? :)

  I just learned a little something, because I'm now sitting at a computer with DuckDuckGo as the default search tool. And it's apparent that all TN is doing is executing a search on your default engine on the phrase "steveinkona's profile". Yes, with the word "profile" actually in the search. That does, of course, genuinely return activity on other searchable sites under the same user name. The vigilantes will also use google image search or tineye on particular photographs. I've done that on some of mine, and have discovered that a few of my former profile pics have been stolen. And I've certainly also seen that some of the bosomy sweet young things that seem to like everyone do share photos with porn profiles.

  You're quite right, though, that it's usually evident just from the text people post whether they're real or not. You don't need to be a detective to figure that out. The problem on the site, though, has been that people have tended to be suspicious of the authenticity of people whose posts they don't like. (I've had my bona fides questioned for posting that I don't sit on towels at home.) With the "fake" thing thus weaponized, it's probably best just to leave it alone, except for the obvious spammers.

  Newer user here. Someone mentioned to just ignore them which is what I do. I dont mind so much as getting those young girl responses gives me the fantasy that I can offer anything that women want. While trolling the chatroom though, I see a huge number of men that are looking for a hookup. I was a little disappointed thinking I threw away $100 for a soft porn hookup site. With continued participation and site browsing I do find there are many committed naturist/nudists here and hope to get to know many of them.

  yes about all you can do is Flag the profiles as fake and hope someday the owners of this site will do something.
  every time you get a FR from a young female profile you know it is fake and should FLAG it. I usually flag the fake profiles 15 to 20 times each. We can only hope that someday the owners of this site will do something about all the fakes. Until the owners of this give a crap about what the members want to see here nothing will ever change.

  Yesterday, I misbehaved and exposed a fake in the chatroom of TN's sister site. Hanging around with my girlfriend, hoping to find friends online, we received a private message from an one year old member, an allegedly female 23yo user. At some point she sent face pics uninvited which triggered me to do the Google search. It was not hard to find a set of 9 pictures posted in 2012 online. I wrote the link and her comment was that this is her younger self and she has more recent pictures as well. By searching the photos deeper, I discovered the original set of pictures, including full nudity, which dated back to 2008. Her last written message was "Oh damn... James" (who is James?)

  So, I publically announced that the user was a fake, because uses pictures from this link (I pasted the link). I blocked her and flagged her. Did I do the right thing?

  Earlier this morning, I informed a TN user that twitter says she is from Nigeria, not Rochester NY. I flagged her and blocked her. What else I could do?

  One new profile liked my profile yesterday and, when I checked it she? was trying to sell another site and when I checked the photos they were all stolen so I flagged the photos and the profile has now gone in about one day. So yes these fake/scammers profiles do get removed and sometimes fairly fast.

  I have only been on TN for a week and had enough of fakes by the third day. I research a littler & found and article where the company behind these female scammers was caught in 2018. I am trying to relocate it, as i save it site info it was on.
