Flood of notification emails

I have gotten the same notification email from the same user over 1000 times in the past 24 hrs. I have all email notifications turned off, but it still keeps coming. I have submitted a ticket but posted it here to see if I can get any attention.

    I have not gotten that many. Duplicates are common and delayed are common guess there are still kinks to work out in this upgrade.

    When I had my bit of fun fake profile on here (profile now removed) I turned off the email notification and, it took a couple of days for them to stop coming. I also marked them as spam to keep them out of my in folder.
