Hello to anyone reading this post. I am not sure if this question/query has been raised before and i apologise in advance if it has. In my defence I have searched and searched this site and found no joy to my query.
Here it is recently i was checking a profile and noticed the person was using Folders to organise pictures, I opened them and they looked great, I thought wow that's cool I'm going to do that with my pictures, so i went back to my media and organised folders for my pictures, I created 3 folders and found you can set them to either Public, Friends, Certified Friends or even Private Access Required. I was very impressed with those options - it would save me having to individually categorise each picture. I had it all set 3 folders on 1 page cool.
I then asked a few friends to look and open the folders, 1st one (non paying) couldn't open and was prompted with "You must be a paying customer to open", they could not even open the Public Folder. The 2nd person was a certified member and friend (non paying) - They also got the same prompt " You must be a paying customer to open". The 3rd person was a certified member (paying) and they had no problem opening them. As i am a lifetime member I had no problem opening the folders of the initial person.
My query is this "Why is there no info on the site about this option and how to use it" There is info on uploading pics/vids but nothing about using Folders. Plus making the folders user pays WTF is that.... You are killing a tool that is actually useful.
And the killer is that a non-paying person can create folders but can't open them - what's with that.
Feed back please if you have used or are using folders.

Non-paid members only have access to a limited number of photos under each area (6). By putting them behind a folder, you locked non-paying members out. As many have stated before, this site is poorly coded, and there are many "flukes" in the programming.

Part 2 of my inquiry: Ive found the page i was looking for buried deep down (I remember seeing it when i became a life member.)
On your profile page is the "upgrade my account" option - select that
This opens the payment options: Lifetime, Yearly, Quarterly - now at each of the options is a button that says "Why upgrade?" when you select that you should see the page i have hopefully attached. However the page flashes for less that 2 seconds and goes straight to payment page. Ive tried on desktop and mobile and both times less that 2 seconds. I had to open and quickly take a pic on phone to view.Looking at the Why Upgrade page nowhere does it mention Folders in the media section, which was my original query. You already have the columns set up perhaps include below Profiles | Area |Fee Users | Paid Users |
|Media Folders | No Access | Full Access |
Just a thought I hope that someone in charge gets to read this.As an aside - A question that arises often in the chat room is why should i upgrade and that's a fair comment - If the upgrade benefits were better positioned throughout the site people would get the idea. for example: the groups sections all have headers, when they open - have the Free users and Paid users benefits for groups displayed. You don't need whole page just that benefits for that Area. They all have a header that can include 1 extra line. I think it's called marketing Just a thought.

Seems i made an error - I had friends check out the process they are free users and they had no problem opening the page above.
My theory is that for Free users it will remain open for them to revue the benefits and lifetime and paid users have no need as they have full access either that or else i need a new laptop......lol

Sorry yet again a stuff up - Please replace the word Folder with Album - (should have gone to spec savers)
