How About a Verification process?

  There was at one time a button on the profile where people could "verify" the person. It didn't last long but I guess the intended purpose was something along the lines of what you're talking about. I don't see any reason why there couldn't be another tag added to the profiles like the certified or donor tags. It would be pretty easy though for people to go around clicking on them regardless of whether they had actually met or not. As it is it's hard enough to rely on the certification to determin the true intentions of the person behind the profile. I suppose it would be one more level of certification though. Perhaps there could be a way of showing who clicked on the verification button so that people could see who had said that they actually met the person in question.

S[/quote]    I'm of the opinion that the current certified nudist process is fairly accurate.  The way I see it, since you have to send in two photo's, naked and dressed, with a sign with your screen name, that's pretty hard to fake (well, maybe not, but it probably would be a pain in the ass). So, in my minds eye, anybody who is certified is a real person, don't really care about the nudist aspect of it, just like the the fact that I know I'm dealing with a real person as opposed to some robot.   However, saying all that, I wish that they would have a 2 step process for verification.  One to verify you are a real person and can submit a clothed pic with sign and another to verify you are a true nudist and that one needs to be naked with a sign.  That way, people who are concerned about their nude body being spread accross the net, can rest easy and still be verified and those of us who are confident in TT1's privacy can go ahead and get verified as a true nudist.  Anyways, it's an idea I've been toying with for awhile now.

  [quote]Agreed.  Your college age and 20 something almost never belong to clubs and resorts.  They don't have the money, and honestly, they're usually uncomfortable around older nudists.  My observation anyway.[/quote]   It is true.  As a young heterosexual single male, it is very difficult to get involved in clubs, being that they are mostly "Couples and Females" only.  The ones that are open to young single males tend to have a slight "gay" bias to them, which is just not something I am interested in.     I understand why they do it, and it makes sense, but it just makes it increasingly difficult to meet one of the very small number of young female nudists, and open up the availability of joining a (imo) "real" club.  I've been trying to convert the textile females for a while, but it never seems to work out ;P

[/quote]    Hmmm - I see what you are getting at Swifty, same system - just 2 levels, interesting idea.Over the years I have been on many different sites as a member and run several myself - the issue of false profiles is a perennial one.  The problem is that there is very little a web manager can do to prevent such things.  Sure, one can create more and more hoops to jump through but the question then arises - where does one draw the line?  I have seen good sites die, strangled by their own 'red tape' as the management attempts to stem the tide.  This site has a pretty good track record as far as I can see - nothing is ever perfect but TT1 seems to be doing a good job.  I am a member of one site that runs a 'personally met' verification system and whilst it does provide a good reference system for some, for the majority it does not and there is definately a 'two class' feel about the site.  It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that such a system here might ultimately create a similar schism here twixt the 'home and garden nudists' and the 'club/beach crowd'.  Then what?  What the heck is a 'true nudist' anyhow? (rehtorical question before anyone jumps on that comment).  I recall a post from Nuderunr on the subject of the power of special interest lobbying - asking why nudists seen to be disunited as compared to the gun bunch.  Well, creating differences doesn't help and schisms within any group only serve to weaken it.
