Membership count in groups

I'm the moderator for a group named Gay and Bi Male Nudists, which I started more than ten years ago. It's a group where membership has to be approved by the moderator. Recent weeks I've approved many hundred new members (and rejected some). But at the group page the number of group members is still the same as mid December, no change at all.
Does anyone know why the membership number is constant at the group page in spite of the fact that there in reality is a big change, there is for sure many more members now, February 2024, than December 2023.

    Maybe the computer is really bad at counting :-)

    On a more serious note, my browser often needs a few refreshes to show the actual amount of notifications on my profile.
    Maybe it's something similar?

    Thanks for your suggestion Jotun, but it's not as easy as that, refreshing the browser. It's been the same number of members, according to the group page, since December 2023. Since then I've approved and added something like 700 new members. But the membership number has not changed at the group page.
    Well, the new members are welcomed anyway and they take part in discussions and post photos, like the other members.

    I am trying to approve members for a few groups I'm in and a little tab pops up and states "invalid group" and no permissions are granted.

    I was the moderator for LGBT group for over 5 years and had over 900 members and 200 photos all requiring approval to join so we could keep the group clean. Time consuming to say the least but the group was consistent with good members and great threads. When they installed the new software that was designed to weed out inappropriate words and phrases the group was completely deleted. I immediately contacted the TN office in Phoenix and never got a response! I am a lifetime member and supported this site for over 13 years and I am honestly getting fed up with lack of transparency by the site owner on what is going on and what upgrades are they doing???? I am about ready to delete the groups I moderate and move on. This site is getting flooded with sex, paraphrase sex, threads that absolutely violate the terms yet remain despite being flagged yet they delete my group and never gave a reason why!
