Notification of people joining groups

On the old site, on my account page, I got notification of people joining groups that I belong to.   That feature seems to have disappeared on the new site.   I hope that the feature can be restored on the new site.   The new site's current notification of friends of friends of friends seems pointless to me.

    Totally agree, we could care less who are friends are friending. Their criteria for friendship and ours has nothing in common what so ever for the most part. We do like to see who is joining a group we belong to though. That may actually be someone we might have something in common with. We also like the new picture notification that we used to get. I know this may be a shock to the so called purists on this site but people put up pics for other people to see. Even though we can't be with them if they live 1200 miles away it is nice to see a new pic now and then and chat about them.
