Older Photos have disappeared - what happened?

  Must be another poor update or something, as if you click on the picture they are still there but just don't show as in the past.

  I know videos were showing up like this (preview icons), but as the above poster said, if you click on it, they are there. I have noticed one photo from my "It should be deleted" test is gone now (All the rest are still there). Maybe TT1/TT2 is actually going through the media server to get rid of photos that should have been deleted long ago (This may have been a small scale test). I doubt it, but it would be nice if they actually started fixing the major security issues on this site.

  Spoke too soon. The one video I had posted (Bat out-flight at Valley View Hot Springs/Orient Land Trust's Orient mine) is now gone. The link and the comments are still there, but when you click on it, it's gone. I have also noticed several of my friends (I don't have that many to begin with) have dropped. They were added in 4-6 months ago.

  The photos still do not appear. I have contacted the admin team. Maybe I will get a reply ... who knows.

  It gets weirder. According to my "activity", Ollie4753 viewed and made comments on the missing video early this morning. That actually happened three months ago. If you click on the video link from here (activity), it works. The two places have different url links.

  I have also noticed the gallery will no longer sort by 'newest' Just hangs. All other sorts work just fine, but if you sort by oldest and try to go to the end (Getting you to newest) it hangs as well.

  Also, the photo/video filters do not work.

  Another thing not working properly at the moment: after you have completed uploading a photo it does not appear in "My feed" the way it used to be. Strange isn't it?

  Usually the photo shows up for you and your friends ... and now: nada!

  Have also noticed that in the Media submissions for individual groups, there's no way that I as moderator can approve members' photos. Homepage will notify me that there are "Pics/Videos" to review. When I click on the thumbs up emoji to approve them, nothing happens; however, if I click thumbs down, they disappear.

Not exactly the "solution" we were hoping for... Could you please advise what is going on? Thank you!

  Well the issue is from a couple months back. There was a data loss, in which ~10k photos and videos were lost. The records in the database were kept but excluded from results in hopes we'd be able to restore them.

  The new update was no longer excluding those results, hence the missing images/videos.

  After I noticed it, I finally removed the "dead" records from the database, causing them to disappear.

It was only in the last week or two that it disappeared from the link in "my media". John aka cobeachbum

Whether this is a temporary fix until the security issue can be resolved or the final solution, only time will tell. John aka cobeachbum

  The feed still does not work as it should be.

  More than 10 minutes ago I uploaded a new photo and it still does not appear in the feed as I speak.

  However today I have received a lot of notifications in one email/go including notifications from the last 5/6 days.
