[/quote] I don't think the issue is the media being deliberately deleted. I think there is a bug in the upload process where it doesn't complete properly and the photo is never properly cataloged. I suspect the media is still on the media server, just not properly linked to your gallery. (I've run tests and have found the media "deleted" isn't really deleted, but rather just the link to it gets deleted. It's still there on the media server) As for your profile picture, when you tag a photo to be your profile photo, a copy of it is made on the media server. Now two distinct photos exist under different file names. You can delete the the one from your gallery without effecting the profile photo. I suspect profile photos never get deleted either, but haven't tested that theory. John aka cobeachbum

I hate to flood ADM with photos to approve just to have one work.

Photos are moderated by the membership now. Not even looked at unless there are complaints (which is hard to do when the flag process is broke). John aka cobeachbum

  I just had the same issue; I uploaded a handful of photos last night and then this morning they were gone. Had to re-upload them. At least it's only the first time this has happened, I guess.

  Seems to be back to it. I uploaded three; one survived. I been uploading more today and regardless of where from (phone, computer), minutes later they are gone.

Each photo is looked at and either approved/denied based on media TOS rules. This goes for EVERY photo whether it be profile, forum, group, etc. Do some slip through, yes of course, human error happens when a few moderators are looking at hundreds of pictures each. They are looked at though, and if they are removed it's because they did not meet the rule guidelines. Again, this is usually because it is explicit in nature, shows genitals and no face, or is a boner pic. These are the usual reasons media is denied.
