Does anyone else find it really inconvenient to have to scroll through masses of group member profile pics before they get to the discussion posts added to a group? It is particularly irritating when a group has hundreds of members.
I would even go as far as to suggest that we would see more activity in group discussions if they were more visible when landing on a group page. It seems to me this is a site useability issue that could be fixed in a number of ways relatively easily.
1. A simple link at the top of the group page that jumps you directly to the group discussion section.
2. Swapping the order so that group discussions appear first followed by members profile pics.
3. Totally separate page displays for group member profile pics and discussion threads.
What say you? Please reply to this thread so that the admins/ designers of TN hear your view. If you don't ask you don't get!

gymnostimFeb 14, 2011I'd really like to see the group members on a different page or below the discussion part. It seems like hardly any groups have any meaningful discussion in them anyway and are kind of used more like "tags" than actual groups.

PhilfreeeukFeb 14, 2011
It's definitely a nuisance to have to scroll through the members (hundreds in some cases) to get at the threads. A link might help, but as the photos load, the threads get pushed down the page. It would be far more productive to have the discussion threads at the top. A second suggestion: after a post is entered, return to the thread page, not to the group index.
Yep totally agree, I don't go to groups with large memberships, more often than not it crashes this box before they are all loaded. I think the ONLY thing that will increase activity, is a recent post page for groups.ReactReply - NA
Naked_RunnerFeb 15, 2011I didn't even realize there was a discussion section for the groups.... Yes, I think discussion should come before pictures.
Separate issue - SEARCH... It would really be helpful to be able to search the forums.ReactReply - OR
orbarebearFeb 23, 2011What I would really like to see is a count of new messages posted since the last time I viewed the group in the list of my groups in the My Account section. That would let me know when it's worth going to take a look... The panel of latest threads should be before the pix too...

It would seem there is a good deal of support for this idea and no dissenters. Do any True Nudists admins or developers read these posts? Would have been nice to get some kind of reply even if that was to tell us that changing the position of the forum posts to appear above members photos was a) impossible or b) reeeealy hard to do.ReactReply - M_

The group photos should have an option for loading when the user wants to see them and an indication in "My Account" for the threads in the main forum that you post in would be nice.ReactReply - SU
Sunbeam65Apr 5, 2011I'll echo some of the thoughts already listed...
1) Move the profile pictures down or out of the groups, to make them more user friendly in terms of seeing the posts
2) Show via color or location or a search function only the 'new' postings when you go into the group & the forum
3) Better yet - on the main page remove the "Sign Up" box for those who've signed in and replace it with a box of the users groups. This will put more focus on the groups and make them a more used part of the overall TN website & experience. As of now, the only way I know to get to my group list is to go to the My Accounts tab and then have to scroll down. A bit of a pain.ReactReply - M_
