Worthless home page; groups` functionality destroyed

Despite posts from many users, the new home page remains completely pointless.  Who is really interested in following messages between on TN friends and other people we don't know?   What happened to the notices when someone joins a group we belong to?  Any why isn't there an option to see new postings to groups we belong to, as there is for the forums?

    Totally agree way too much like facebook. We could care less what people are saying to each other. AGAIN TN1 and TN2 seeing who is joining a group you belong to goes a lot farther in making real friends than seeing who someone is friending. We don't care what comments are made to each other unless the comments are related to us BORING!
