A few of us got into a discussion about redundant groups. There are groups that are almost a description of nudists (there are five groups for naked sleepers). I joked that Im forming a group called Nudists that Like Being Naked. Id also throw in groups that cover the same ground of other groups (again, those sleep groups, look up photography sometime). Do people look up groups before they form new ones?

It got me thinking about my group list. I purged several groups last week. Not because I was necessarily disinterested in the topics, but because no one has posted in them for years. Yes, years. Whats more, in many of these cases, the moderator is either not contributing or not even an active member of the site anymore.

The most irritating part is when you ask for the membership in a private group that no longer has an active moderator and likely not an active group. Not only does it stay in the general list, but its on your personal list and cant be deleted.

It would be good to see about consolidating some of the groups and getting rid of others.

Really good post it feel like some use groups to express a narrow personal agenda or cliques around sinikar narrow interests Whether it has anything to do with nudism or naturism seems irrelevant.
