  In a quest to be in a hot springs in the nude during a full moon, the wife and I decided to try Dakota Hot Springs because it is one of the closest clothing optional hot springs to Denver. We arrived at 9pm just before closing and it was cloudy and raining. We still decided to soak for the 45 minutes we had and found the water to be very soothing and warm. They have a sprayer that sprays hot mineral water at high pressure so it is like a multipoint massage. There is also a bowlin the middle of the pool that has water directly out of the ground that is very hot. A lot of the soakers hang around…

  Pros: Water temp, Friendly Staff, Easy Access (Short bumpy dirt road) off Hiway 50, Hot Pot, Hot Sprayer, Allows Single men, Price

  Cons: Younger crowd, (not a bad thing just uncomfortable when they are not nude with you)

  On a cross-country bike ride, Gail and I stopped off for a couple hours of soaking. Half a dozen friendly locals wer there on a weekday afternoon. Laid back and unpretentious. lots of sun. Friendly staffer gave us a 50% discount afteer there was some misunderstanding about tent camping. We went to secluded Indian Springs to set up our tent and then came back for a fun afternoon of soaking.

  Pros: Right off US 50. Friendly staffer
