About Lido di Dante

Welcome to the sun-kissed shores of Lido di Dante, a charming slice of paradise in Ravenna, where the motto is "Less fabric, more freedom!" This famed nude beach is not just a spot to tan; it's a historical haven where the only suit required is your birthday suit. A hotspot for both nudists and naturists alike, Lido di Dante offers a liberating experience in a clothing-optional setting. Beloved by fans of the FKK (Freikörperkultur or Free Body Culture), this beach has been a bastion of the buff since the 1960s. It's legally recognized as a nude beach, so you can shed your threads without…

  • It`s a nude beach once again.

Our local naturist organization, in its constant battle to keep the Lido di Dante as a nude beach, has once again won for this year! Come one, come all, but leave your clothes at home!

Pros: 1.6km of beautiful nude beach.

  • No longer a nude beach

What was once a wonderful nude beach can no longer be recommended. As of this season, the Corpo Forrestale (Environmental Police) are enforcing a ban on nudity, calling it public indecency - this had been a nude beach for 40 years without complaints from the public! And, numerous Italian courts have upheld the citizens right to be nude in public if there is no true indecency. If you are caught, and they DO patrol the area, you will be fined and threatened with being handcuffed! They carry their handcuffs out and ready to be `used` as if to threaten you with their immense authority and power. I…

  • A beautiful beach

    4.00

This is the nude beach that I usually go to. It`s almost a kilometer long and at the weekends in summer hosts thousands of nudists. There are no services, although just at the end of the textile beach there is a small bathing establishment with restaurant and restrooms. It has been a nude beach for at least 40 years and people come from all over to spend the day here.

Pros: Beautiful beach, thousands of people, safe for children,

Cons: No services directly on the beach.
