    A picturesque setting , nestled between the ocean and the lagoon. Small dunes, draped in dune foliage invites sunlovers to enjoy her charms, privacy and protection from the elements. The small parking area in the reserve, next to the Breakers Hotel, offers secure parking however it can full up quickly on gorgeous summer days. The walk, is easy and visitors have a choice of two routes, along the beach or through nature reserve. Both are about 1.3km from car park to lagoon. In years gone bye, the near side of the lagoon was protected by large dunes which were destroyed some years back by the cyc…

    Pros: Small friendly group of local couples, who are very welcoming of new comers and have been going there for years. A peaceful, large scenic beach with enough space for all and no need to invade ones space.

    Cons: No public toilets or fresh drinking water nearby. Not to many rubbish bins in the area. Those that choose to expose themselves to the walkers or passers bye. The occasional single pervs who don't the nude beach etiquette.

    In the early nineties this was the place I usually hangout to get an all over suntan. The lagoon was separated from the ocean by a small stretch of dunes. There was ample space to get out of sight from unaware beach-goers. The dune had some steep slopes making it difficult to reach the crest. Only people with a purpose challenged these slopes. Others walked along the foot of the dune facing the ocean to reach or returned from Umdloti. The other side dropped steeply in the lagoon.
