I am retired from a career in forestry. I worked as a forester in WA, Or, CA, ID, and AK., so I am comfortable living in a pup tent camping out in the woods for extended periods. We would work the forests from March to November all along living in a camping setting. Cooking over campfires, bathing in ice cold streams and creeks.rnI am honest, trustworthy, respectable to others. Would hold the door for you, open the car door for you. I have a high degree of morals, and ethics plus love cooking, woodworking and home repairs. I will treat you as I would want my daughter's boyfriends to treat them. I have a shotgun and a shovel and bail money. Lol.rnI'm always early to work, appointments,etc. My greatest pet peeve is someone who is constantly late to meetings, appointments or anything.rnI was raised on a cattle ranch and alfalfa farm. I know the meaning of hard work and many hours on the John Deere. I am just as comfortable plowing a field, feeding calves, branding, building barbwire fences or chasing cattle at 2:30 in the morning as I am dining out at a fancy restaurant, or a quite evening at home watching a drama, or comedy show on TV with you in my arms.rnFor you to get to know me is simply to say that my Father was a 20 year career man in the Marine Corp as a Drill Instructor. I grew up under his stern stares and learned quick that putting in a long days work was the norm.rnrnI now live alone and am ready to meet someone who likes the outdoors, camping, fishing and hiking.rnI love to garden, read and write books.rnI am the proud author of two books that have been published and am working on my third.rnI love animals of all kinds? I would rather spend an hour trying to shoo a fly out of the house as to swat it dead.rnrnI have two wonderful daughters that live here in Moses Lake too. My oldest is 31 and is from my marriage, my youngest is 16, and from an old girlfriend. She lives with my oldest. (it's a long story). The greatest gift in my life has been my two grand kids, a 8 year old grand son and a 6 year old grand daughter. If anyone would hurt them, they hurt me!rnI have one dog now but used to have many pets. I love most any pet. You could consider me the pet whisperer. :)rnrnI am comfortable going square dancing and listening too country music. Although while in college I did take ballroom dance so can waltz and swing, rumba, etc. It's been too long though.:)rnYou could take square dancing with me?rnrnI will be your best friend and there for you no matter what the situation is. I will be with you during happy days, standing in the warm sunshine, and will stand with you in the rough times, sitting with you in the rain.I know that at are age we both have baggage, and I will help you unpack if you help me unpack as well.rnIf you need to cry, I will cry with you, if your sad and need a hug, my arms are pretty long, if you just need someone to listen to you, I can shut up and just listen.rnI am a hopeless romantic, and would be that person to leave you a short note on my pillow just to have you smile before your day begins. I would send you a rose just to make your day. Or in these times now,a quick text just to let you know I am thinking of you throughout the day.rnbut, being a retired forester, you just may get several pine cones hehe. Hey I have a sense of humor too.rnrnWell I don't want to tell you everything about me and will leave some to your imagination. BUT, I'm not writing a novel here, I just want you to know a bit about me. So pardon the spelling, grammar, and sentence structure please.rnrnMost other times it would not be acceptable to me, it's another pet peeve of mine.

I wish to find a kind, honest and loyal partner who would like to dine out, go to movies, go hiking and camping but, can be just as comfortable sitting at home quietly watching a drama or comedy movie.
