I'm a long-time naturist (card-carrying and everything) but that doesn't define me ... it's just one aspect of my life. I also have a keen interest in history, travelling and enjoy live music and theatre of all descriptions although folk music is my favourite genre. Have you been to any folk festivals lately or discovered a new artist I should know about? Last year (2025) I was in Spain and Morocco for a month including a week at a lovely naturist retreat on Fuerteventura and that was a fantastic experience. This year I spent some time in Cornwall and the southwest of England plus a few days at Van Tan in British Colombia (Canada). Where have you been lately? Or where are you going? I'm a member of FCN (Federation of Canadian Naturists), TNSF (The Naturist Society Foundation) and BN (British Naturism).

I enjoy chatting with new people so drop me a line and if we are ever at the same club or swim it would be nice to connect. Talking about folk music or travelling is a good way to catch my interest! I won't accept blind friend requests so let's please exchange some messages first.

Ren is my newest obsession but otherwise, it's Folk music, of course. :-) Favourites include: The Young'uns, Show of Hands, Tom Russell, Stan Rogers, Loreena McKennitt, Teresa Doyle, Stephen Fearing, Poor Angus, Silly Wizard, David Ross Macdonald, Tanglefoot, Archie Fisher, Peggy Seeger, Tom Lewis, John Wort Hannam, Garnet Rogers, James Keelaghan, Eric Bogle, Barra MacNeils, Des Temps Antan, Anne and Pete Sibley, Small Glories, Leaf Rapids and the Dead South. I try to make at least a couple of folk festivals each year and have confirmed my first one in 2026. If you are also at the Fisherman's Friends Festival be sure to say "hi". Hopefully I'll discover some new favourites.

I like stories that have strong acting and a plot rather than just relying on special effects. Some of my favourites are The Lives of Others, Bridge of Spies, Persepolis, Spotlight, Schindler's List, Gosford Park, The King's Speech, Sin Nombre, Shawshank Redemption. I spend far more time watching television rather than movies and have a soft spot for Scandinavian crime dramas but have some favourite British shows as well. Some faves are the Game of Thrones franchise, Slow Horses, Fauda, Babylon Berlin, Shetland and Ted Lasso. What are yours?
