About Gord
Much to my Victorian late parents' abject horror, I've been a nudist since early childhood, i.e., for around 65 years. I started shedding my clothes as soon as I was out the door, hiding my clothes in bushes in the yard. After mom found out about that, I'd go to a childhood friend's place and hide my clothes in his parents' bushes! I was fascinated by anything mechanical and I remember neighbourhood teenage boys who worked on their cars hoisting me up and parking my bare bum on a towel on the front fenders of their cars so I could watch them work and ask questions! These days, sadly, they'd go to jail for hanging around with a naked 5-year-old. As soon as I was old enough to ride a two-wheel bicycle, the search for suitable spots further from home began. Fortunately, we almost always lived in the 'burbs on the edge of town. For years, it meant sneaking off to secluded spots outside the city, or wooded areas on the edge of town. Since 2007, I've been a member of a CFN- and AANR-affiliated, family-friendly naturist group, formerly Crocus Grove Sun Club and since 2010, Naturist Legacy Inc. We now have an 80-acre park about 30 minutes north and east of the junction of the north Perimeter Highway and Highway 59. It was developed from a cattle feed lot and now has a drinkable water supply, washrooms with hot and cold running water, indoor and outdoor showers, a 33-foot diameter/48 inch deep heated pool, nature trails through mixed vegetation forest, volleyball court, bocci ball and horseshoe pitch. A clubhouse is nearing completion as of late 2015 but some hurdles remain.rnrnI am openly gay at Naturist Legacy Park, as are three other gay men. It's a wonderful, accepting environment, but it's Canada where discrimination is taboo.
Preferably other gay men, but gay-positive couples or singles are just fine too. I've always enjoyed the company of younger folks. The energy, enthusiasm and different outlook on things that typify younger folks are refreshing and energiizing. For dating and romantic relationships, I prefer men who are of normal weight - BMI < 25 - or who can truthfully say 'a FEW extra pounds'.rnrnI'm a very intelligent and literate guy and tend to lose interest if a potential significant other lacks those traits. For general socialization and casual friendships, this expectation is considerably relaxed.
Music is an important part of my life with details below.rnrnI follow a number of TV series like Law & Order SVU, Missing, The Listerner, Murder in the First, Gang Related, Flashpoint, Unforgettable....crime drama basically
My main focus is classical music with Mozart, J.S. Bach, Mahler and Chopin at the top of the list.rnrn80s rock music remains appealing but my obsession with classical has lessened my listening to this genre.rnrnSome Broadway musicals or equivalent are appealing. Andrew Lloyd Webber's musicals top this list.rnrnSince 13, I've been fascinated by the classical music of southern India, though knowledge of it is limited. The sitar is my favourite instrument in this genre and Ravi Shankar tops the list here. His daughter Anoushka is no slouch on the sitar either!
As with TV preferences, cops and robbers dramas hold particular fascination, along with spy tales, mysteries generally, horror and some whimsical stuff like Edward Scissorhands and Benny & Joon.rnrnOn Golden Pond is a movie that holds a special place in my heart.
Arthur Rubinstein, Jascha Heifetz, Luciano Pavarotti, Wanda Landowska, Glenn Gould and Ravi Shankar in the musical sphere.rnrnHarrison Ford, Katherine Hepburn and Johnny Depp in the movie category.
