This is a place where we can ALL freely get 'un-dressed' and down to the fun part of sharing: thoughts, pix, & ideas. I am an active member of AANR. There was a fascination with social nudity for most of my life. But it wasn't until later that I finally embraced it. In February 2024, I joined Hill Country Nudists. If you are interested in more information, check out their website: https://hillcountrynudists.com/ Living in the Greater Austin TX area, I'm fortunate to be able to frequent Hippie Hollow Park on Lake Travis. I have gained a large number of friends there over the years and usually always know someone when I go there to visit the Park. If you are in the area, come join us! I joined this site because I truly enjoy the nudist/naturist lifestyle & this site affords ample opportunity to connect & discuss with others who share my feelings & sentiments about their Naked life. The Groups I joined are related to places I hope to visit. That way I can contact locals & get insight about the area before I visit. The others are Groups of interest that perhaps will generate some interesting discussions. Regardless of background, culture, religion or socio-economic status, I have learned that for the most part, there is a similar bond that ties this community together. There is something wonderful or magical if you wish, about that first experience of actually shedding all inhibitions and textile and freely embracing your unrestricted self - totally naked in the outside world. I believe there IS a transformation of sorts that takes place; like we have FINALLY rediscovered something that we had long lost or abandoned long ago. Embracing social nudity IS liberating! Not only for your body which has too often been unnecessarily bound by clothing but also your inner being & mind which were unable to come to grips with who you really are. We have been confined by perceptions & mindsets that have been foisted upon us by culture, misplaced shame, & sometimes pure ignorance (ours & others) so that when we FINALLY break free, we come to realize a new dimension of our life. Body issues begin to fade; a new self-confidence & self-worth begin to emerge while life in general takes on a new perspective. Outdoor nudity is not only liberating & exhilarating; it is also healthy. All-over exposure to the sun is a great source of Vitamin D. (But don't forget your sunscreen! And if you are new to this, be especially sure to put sunscreen in ALL the places that you never have before). My first socially nude experience was at Playalinda Beach, Florida. From that very first experience, I knew that I had discovered something vitally important that had been missing from my life & there was NO turning back! Over the years I have met some amazing people who share my love for the nudist lifestyle. I wish everyone would give it a try before they draw negative conclusions about it. It is one of the most wonderfully liberating & fulfilling experiences anyone can ever enjoy. I now live as clothes free as possible and have never been happier with my life than I am now.
