Ive met a lot of famous people (for work), and the saying dont meet your heroes bears some truth. Still some of them have been impressive, and Id like to meet more of the ones who are really smart. Transformative historical figures would be interesting: Christ/Paul/Buddha. US Founding fathers: Washington, Jefferson, Franklin. Conquerors like Charlemagne, Gengis Kahn, Ceaser might be interesting, but they tended to kill folks they met, so only if guaranteed not to be dispatched.

Work. Food. TV. The Outdoors. And of course, sex. Not necessarily in that order, but probably close.

Yes. Ive worked in and around the music business all of my adult life, and have a lot of knowledge of performers. We dont have to agree - its actually better if we dont like exactly the same things - but its helpful if youre passionate about some.

Really? You expect me to get them all in here? Start with classic cinema: Casablanca, Lawrence of Arabia, Lion in Winter. movies with a good story: Oceans 11-13, Usual Suspects, Shawshank, or just great casts: High Society, Midway. The whole gamut of comedies, from Marx Bros, to screwballs of the 60s (Its a Mad x4 World, Funny thing..Forum), through Python, Airplane, and Mel Brooks (a true genius). Baseball movies: Field of Dreams, The Natural, Bull Durham, even Major League. Westerns of any era: True Grit, Once...in the West, Unforgiven. Good sci-fi: 2001, Bladerunner. Jack (Good As It Gets, China Town), Paul (Cool Hand Luke, Slap Shot), with Redford (Sting, Butch/Sundance), Shoot em ups (Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas) or not (Nobodys Fool). Movies so bad theyre good: Point Break.
