Honestly, I can't call myself a "true nudist" -- I've never been part of the naturist subculture and I'm not really used to being naked around a group of naked people. (Even my experiences in men's locker rooms have been in extremely modest groups.) In my younger years I was particularly shy and reserved about my naked body. In my later years, I've been trying to lighten up more and literally get more comfortable in my own skin. Living on my own, I tend to exercise nude and often do stuff around the house in the buff. I don't see myself having the time or interest to become heavily invested in any full-blown nudist lifestyle but would like to have some experiences being comfortably nude around other nude people. The idea of places like Korean spas is really appealing to me, but I can't find any near me. (Looking for the Toledo/Cleveland/Pittsburgh/Columbus area. Recommendations welcomed.) The regional venues for nude men tend to specifically be gay cruising spots/swingers clubs, which are awkward and not my thing as a straight man. But the idea of some sort of nude male group bonding experience seems really appealing right now.
