I'm interested in other men to explore the possibility of a relationship. I'm glad to be friends with anyone. I'd ultimately like a good relationship with a good man. I have an ideal in my mind, and I try to convince myself that nobody lives up to anyone's ideal. Still, it's best if we both work at taking care of ourselves.

I like board games and card games; I like to be in, on, or near water; I use the Oxford comma and know the difference between their, there, and they're; I appreciate a well placed metaphor, a surprising turn of phrase, intentional editing, and the appropriate use of spellcheck; I make mistakes and recognize that others do, too; I'm liberal in my politics and my faith, kind as much as I can be, respectful of limits, excited about exploring boundaries and trying new things, learning to do a better job of standing up for myself, I take compassionate distancing Seriously; I like Broadway shows, almost every kind of music, science fiction and fantasy, movies, dinner out or in, and breakfast at any time of the day; I'm a strong believer in working for justice.

I don't follow many bands. I turn on SiriusXM and listen to Broadway, Blues, Jazz, Coffeehouse, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, Classical, Opera, Bluegrass, some Country, World Music, Hip Hop, and Rap. I'm less interested in Heavy Metal although I recognize its heart and the messages it conveys.

The Shape of Water, Loving Vincent, Billy Elliot (both the original and the musical), Women Talking, Good Night and Good Luck. I like the comic book movies and the sci-fi/fantasy movies as well as the ones that make me think. I have recently been watching and enjoying National Theatre at Home.
