Taste is pretty varied, from folk rock (the Decemberists) to retrowave (Gunship) to blackgaze (Alcest). Very much stuck in grunge (the Smashing Pumpkins), dabble in hip hop (Why?), and love a good songwriter (the Mountain Goats).
