About Dallas McDowell
Well let me try again to "blow my own horn" so to speak. I'm a retired professional transplanted from Michigan to here in Florida. A happy camper I'm not entirely but I don't miss Michigans cold weather. I grew up on a farm starting my education in a one room schoolhouse and on earning a Bachelors Degree in technical education allowing me to teach about any technical subject which I did for a number of years. I was born a steam railroad nut delighting my grandfather who shared the same interest and making me his favorite grandchild. I also met up with a bunch of Bluegrass Music players and played music for a number of years though never became famous at it. Spent my life alone also since trains and bluegrass attracts women not. However was loved by two little female dogs and we had a good life together the last one taken away by cancer a couple of months ago. What I seek now are friends to just sit nude with and chat about the old days or where we feel we're headed now. Comments or care to chat feel free to contact me. Oh and if your a female be glad to know I'll treat you as well as I did those little girls I spoilt with kindness.
It would be nice to know someone who I could spend some time with enjoying their company discussing the past, present, and future things important and not important in our lives. Perhaps we could take day trips visiting the sights and viewing what we've seen and not seen before.
First off I'm a lifelong train nut and collect just about anything related to trains especially locomotives. I enjoy watching old movies or listening to most styles of music. I used to enjoy working out in my shop or riding one of my motorcycles but thanks to diabetes and maybe age I'm not as active or interested as I once was. Maybe some day I'll wake up some morning feeling like my old self again, I can always dream.
I enjoy various styles of music and spent many years playing bluegrass with friends and band mates on and off stage wherever we were wanted sometimes getting paid but always keeping my day job to pay the bills. Always hoping to meet someone to share my life with but always returning home alone to my various collection of items I had saved and collected like a historian.
I like a wide variety of movie types but pefer many of the older ones that are now on cable. And the best thing about watching them..... I can be relaxed and nude holding a cold root beer in company of my best friend, a small mixed breed dog. My taste varies, I enjoy drama, creature feature, some comedy, action, whatever sounds good at the time. I c an't remember titles but there are plenty I seem to watch whenever I can catch them on the tube. Of course having a large flat screen to watch them on adds to my enjoyment along with cables lack of interruptions trying to sell me goods I neither need nor want.
I suppose my Dad was my hero since I was always amazed t how much he always seemed to know and all the things he could do. Most of the men in the family are like this and now that I've grown up know so many people I'm even more amazed at how many men are helpless so much of the time. Those things that are so simple for us to do seem to leave most of others lost without direction. So sad.rnAnd I'm upset over how bad society seems to be getting as reported on in the news every day.
