About Chris
I'm all about being open to the breathtaking experience in every moment. (Life is far too short for accepting the mundane, for taking anything for granted.) I'm blessed to have learned every experience -- whether difficult or easy, painful or comfortable, shared or solo -- is beautiful and joyful and fulfilling, as long as I engage in it authentically. In other words, I've learned the happiness and freedom of discovering and being myself. I am straightforward, honest, curious, creative, competitive, eager, easy-going, passionate, adventurous, athletic, friendly, loyal, sensual.
You, if you're honest, trustworthy, a non-smoker, comfortable in your own skin (literally and figuratively), and self-confident, humble, and open-minded.
In no particular order: sunshine, moonlight, exploring and connecting with the wilderness, challenging myself to grow, playing (saxophone) and listening to MANY types of music, poetry (writing, reading and discussing), disc golf, ice and roller hockey, snow skiing, fly-fishing, sexuality, good food (cooking, sharing, and eating), manual labor, floating rivers, photography, sharing beloved places/experiences with others, finding the elusive end of the internet, facilitating people's realization of their dreams, the beauty of the natural human body.
I enjoy most genres of music. My favorite is dependent on my mood and what I'm doing. My tastes are definitely eclectic. I very much enjoy being introduced to artists and types of music I was previously unfamiliar with.
As with music, my tastes are relatively diverse and what I like at any given moment depends largely on the moment. I tend not to like gratuitous movies (whether they are gratuitously violent, sexual, silly, vulgar, melodramatic, etc.). I do like movies that lead to great discussion.
John Wooden (starting when I was in 5th grade); Greg Boyle, S.J. (everyone should read his book: Tattoos On The Heart); all people who choose to do the right thing when doing so is difficult and regardless of influences or circumstances that most people would accept as legitimate excuses not to do the right thing.
